I am APPALLED by the “curry” chicken I just received. It was fried chicken rolled around in curry. Did not even taste remotely like curry, over seasoned rice. And after leaving it, it smelled like dried pee. I have supported this restaurant for a long time but I will never again.

Ordered the oxtails. It had a different taste from other Jamaican restaurants I’ve ordered from but it was still delicious. Wish the cabbage wasn’t overcooked, it was mushy. Hope it’s cooked better next time I visit.

I got the oxtail plate the first time and I wasn’t impressed (I don’t like the sauce the oxtails are in and they also put it on the rice so I didn’t care for that either) but the jerk chicken plate was divine. The macaroni is really good too. 9/10 definitely recommend!

We were traveling through Ocala and decided to stop at Tropical Delight, and we are so glad we did! The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the medium jerk chicken plate, and it was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I’m already planning to get it again the next time I’m in town!
My cousin got the large oxtails plate and couldn’t stop raving about how amazing it was. Every bite was seasoned to the T! We enjoyed the food so much that we ended up going back before leaving town to pick up more meals to take home for our families.
Tropical Delight truly lives up to its name, delicious, flavorful, and worth the stop. Highly recommend!

Best Jamaican food I ever had!
We ate the Jerk Chicken because the Oxtail was out. We also tried the goat for the first time! It was so flavorful, the curry paired so well with the meat! The lemon cake was yummy!

The service was spectacular from beginning to end! You can tell they really care about their customers. So helpful in the decisions of what we were going to eat. Explained that there wasn’t any seafood bc of their supplier not bringing back many options. Most certainly will be going back again and again! One of the cleanest dining areas and kitchens I’ve ever seen! Plenty of flavor with each plate! The juice/ drink selection is phenomenal as well!

This place was amazing. We had the oxtails and jerk chicken with sides of cabbage, rice and peas and plantains. It was prepared perfectly. The owners are so nice and even let us try their lemon and cinnamon cake, which was also top notch. Try it…you won’t be disappointed! Best food in Ocala.

Food is amazing here. Just about everything on the menu is delicious. Roti, oxtail,jerk chicken,curry chicken, sweet cabbage all very delicious. Meats falls off the bone and always fresh. Came once now we cant stop coming. Already have friends and family going too and they also love this restaurant.
