Surprisingly really good, a little pricey. The restaurant could use a little bit of tidying up (sweeping, wipe drink machines, restrooms, etc.) But otherwise was a good experience for our first time. The employee that took our order was very friendly and helpful. Very similar to a 5 guys, had burgers and even chicken tenders for kids – which were also good. Would definitely go back!

Alexis was my cashier on 4/27/2022 at the Devine Street in Columbia, SC location. She was very knowledgeable about the menu information and assisted me when I didn’t know what exactly kind of burger I wanted. All I had to do was tell her what I wanted on it. And she handled the rest. The Oreo shake she made me, was made with love. The food was presented very well when I dined- in. Anything I may have wanted was provided. This encounter was one of my best one’s compared to my previous visits. Jarred assisted as well, and he and Alexis work well as coworkers and also a team. I was also told about the loyalty program and it’s benefits.

I ordered online and due to covid concerns, I didn’t even check my bag till I got home. I ordered a full order of haystack onions, and didn’t even recieve half of an order. They filled a fry carton, a third of the way full and im extremely disappointed, and won’t be back. They haystack onion is my favorite thing they serve.

I asked female employee Jackie to remove a rolled up mat I almost trip on returning from the Drink machine.
2) She stated that earlier someone had “spilled something on it and that’s why it was rolled and put there”.
3) I suggested that it be move and perhaps place in front of the 3 windows out of the Walk way to no avail.
4) She said, “okay I get it”.
5) However, the rolled up mat/ rug is still there!

Our food was hot and good. They were able to make my turkey burger on lettuce instead of a bun, which was an added bonus because that’s a foreign concept to most restaurants. I’m not a fan of the smash fries but that’s more a personal preference, not a testament of their quality. The dining area was clean. My kids and I really enjoyed our meals and will return.

Finally got around to trying Smashburger and wasn’t disappointed. We love the smash fries and smash tots, and the burgers are outstanding. Five Guys quality but much more affordable in my opinion. You can call your orders in ahead of time which is nice but they don’t allow call ins 30 minutes before closing. Too bad because I tried so it would be ready by the time I got there, but instead I just had to order when I got there 3 minutes before closing. Sorry guys, but thanks for the late dinner!
