Hidden inside The Walnut Speakeasy, this cozy spot is a great find in Elgin. The green onion soup is rich and comforting, and their ½-lb hamburgers are absolutely mouth-watering—juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every bite was delicious! Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re craving a great burger in a relaxed atmosphere.

This place is genuinely good and the staff is great. I got corned beef. I probably would have been happier with pizza or a burger. The frosted glass for beer was appreciated.
The main reason for the four stars instead of five is the name. It is a very good sports bar with a full menu and easy to see TVs all around.

I celebrated my birthday here and while the food itself was good, the service and management were an absolute disaster.
Our server spilled an entire pitcher of Coca-Cola all over the table and completely soaked me — not a splash, not a drip, a full-on soda shower. I work in the restaurant industry, so I understand accidents happen. That wasn’t the issue.
The issue was the complete lack of management or basic customer recovery. No manager came over. No real apology beyond a quick “sorry.” No towels offered. No effort whatsoever to help clean up the mess or make the situation right after I was literally drenched in soda on my birthday.
And the icing on the cake? The pitcher of soda that was dumped all over me was still left on the bill.
That tells you everything you need to know about how this place is run. When something goes seriously wrong, management disappears and the guest is left to deal with it.
Food might be fine, but service and leadership matter. I won’t be back.

We ordered all the time for pickup always over $100.00 but haven’t ordered for a while because we were getting incorrect orders or missing soups or salads from the orders. Thought we would try again. This time only the soup was missing. Need someone to check the orders insuring every thing is there.

That said, the food is quite good and the menu is large.
Pours are measured so that’s a minus but the prices are fair.
Service can be hit or miss but the staff are generally friendly and attentive.

Excellent attentive service for a family of 11 plus 5 friends. Food and service was amazing. 40 mild wings and 40 BBQ wings and 2 pizzas were delivered on a timely manner. Atmosphere was awesome and hosted the Final of America vs Toluca, which had amazing vibes with the people here.

Years back we tried this place. Ordered a steak when it showed up it was rancid, finished our drinks and left. Well we decided to give it another try. This is a finger food and beer place. Again ordered a steak and the other dinner, both were cold. Service, another problem. What ever happened to enjoy your salad and then the meal? No, both came out at the same time. Not to mention my partner didn’t get the soup. Inexperienced server, definitely. Won’t be back, unless new owners have respect for the restaurant industry.
