This place offers Italian food in Little Italy main street. The atmosphere is Italian (although most of the waiters were not Italians). The service is really good. You need to know what to order, the ravioli Alfredo was amazing. Handmade with great sause. The Bolognese sauce was ok but not very special as you would expect from Italians. The Pizza was tasty and I would expect the caprese salad to be better.

Out of all the open places on the 24th of December in Little Italy, we stumbled upon this restaurant because of its name. Seeing the videos of Nonna, meaning grandma in English, enticed us to try for the first time to celebrate Christmas, and it did not disappoint.

I am not usually a fan of Italian dishes because they’re too heavy for me, but the food was terrific! Even my friends from Texas were happy we dined in there.

Service – amazing! From the receptionist to the servers. A 10/10. Plus, a brilliant singer serenaded us that night. What a merry Christmas!

Atmosphere: Christmas is on point. Decorations, seating arrangements, and space were a no-brainer.

I had the funghi risotto and it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was generous, and the flavors were rich and satisfying. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We also appreciated that they respected our request for no alcohol — they kindly prepared the risotto fresh without it. A wonderful dining experience, highly recommended!

Authentic Traditional Italian food! The Best lasagna I have ever eaten. Service was impeccable. We met the owner who was there to greet us. We came from Montreal to eat here so this statement is huge! We love this restaurant. Wine sélection is pretty good. Their tomato sauce comes from heaven! You will definitively find your choice of meal here. As stated I got the lasagna….. miam miam!!’ Perfectly cooked pasta. Best ricotta layer. Tomato méat sauce was PERFECT!
Our kids enjoyed Their spaghetti bolognese. Veal parmigiano was cooked right on point. Combined with Their incredible home made tomato sauce…. Service was impeccable. You take a sip of water and bang the server fills it up right away. That is détailled perfection and we really appreciated it!
Its a small and Very nice restaurant located in the heart of Little Italy. Not noisy at all Even if the restaurant was packed for lunch. Very comfortable environment with nice italian music in the background.
Prices are Very reasonable. We expected the prices to be higher. You Will Pay more at other restaurants and pay x3 the prices. Dont change that!
Thank you for the best meal we had in years!
We will definitively be back to eat upon our next trip to New York!
Thank you to the kitchen staff!

We give a 5 star note and a A ++++ ☺️

We had an incredible dinner at La nonna! The food was perfectly made, our waiter was super attentive, he explained us the menu in detail, great wine options too! It couldn’t be more perfect that we were surprised with an Italian opera solo, we came to little italy 10 years ago and there was an opera singer, we were so lucky to have the whole experience again!

We came here when it was Pellegrinos 25 years ago and it still retains some of the original features and all the style. Very happy to recommend and return!
