We had breakfast on a Saturday morning and arrived just before the in got busy. This fortunately allowed us to miss the cell phone wait for a table. The Cajun shrimp omelet was tasty and filling. Our server was great and the food was served promptly.

Seahorse Restaurant is not just a place to eat — it is a living piece of history. Serving breakfast and lunch since 1938, this iconic oceanfront gem carries decades of stories within its walls. From the moment we walked in, I could feel that old-school charm mixed with the comforting aroma of freshly cooked breakfast.

I visited with friends, a client, and even my boss, which made the experience even more special. It wasn’t just a casual outing; it felt like a celebration of good food, good company, and great memories. The restaurant has that warm, welcoming atmosphere where conversations flow easily and laughter fills the air.

We started with their classic breakfast plates — fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and golden hash browns. Everything tasted fresh, hearty, and satisfying. Their seafood options were equally impressive, especially being so close to the water. Every bite felt authentic and comforting, like a recipe perfected over generations.

What made the day unforgettable was pairing the meal with our fishing adventure. After heading out on a fishing boat and catching plenty of fish, we returned hungry and excited. Sharing stories of “the one that almost got away” over drinks and delicious food made the experience even more fun. There’s something special about enjoying a meal after a successful day on the water.

Sitting there with my boss and client, bonding beyond work conversations, I realized places like Seahorse create connections. It wasn’t just about breakfast or lunch — it was about tradition, friendship, teamwork, and joy.

A restaurant serving since 1938 truly knows how to create timeless memories.

We’re so thrilled they reopened! We had been coming here for years and missed it so much during the renovations. Went back for their grand reopening and we were amazed! They restored everything perfectly! All the booths, the wood, even the pelicans! And of course the food was just as delicious as always. We’ve got our breakfast place back!!

I had the Cajun fish, eggs and cheese grits, with Cuban toast:) After moving to Terra Verde in Saint Pete, I heard about this gem owned by a former Michigan couple. The vibe, service and food was worth the trip. Delicious.

First time visiting this local hole in the wall. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Waitress gave us a few choices, and we were not disappointed. I wanted pancakes as they are a treat for me, so next time, I will try the guacamole toast. I had a side of corn beef hash, so good. Hubby had the shrimp and grits! OMG, you have to stop by and have this dish. It’s the bomb!
