Best meal of the year, though it’s early. Tasting menu small plates like served dim sum cart style by excellent kitchen team. About 16 savory and 3 sweet courses. I had them all. It’s possible and worth it! Get the caviar upgrade. Such care in sourcing ingredients. Excellent technique. We’ll run crew front an back. Good wines and cocktails. Open cool space. Highly recommend.

The concept is there are [four or five] chefs, each cooks/creates a few dishes on the menu, then each presents/delivers their dish that you order.

Some dishes were good, others were just okay. The menu changes regularly and our friends who go often said that this meal was not as good as their past experiences, so maybe we’d give it another shot? It is not an inexpensive meal.

The atmosphere is very casual.

This restaurant offers a unique dining experience where the service is pleasantly uncommon. When the food is ready, it comes to you. You don’t order what you want on the menu; the chefs bring their dishes to you when they are ready. The ingredients are unique and the meals are newly imagined masterpieces. This is food in its most creative form. The service was amazing and the chefs and servers were attentive and knowledgeable. This was such a special experience and I will be coming back. This place is for the bold and risky eaters. There is something for everyone, but I would urge you to consider how much you would try before choosing this place as it is pricey. So fun to go with other people for a fun, new dining experience.

I had the best time at Gunshow! I was a solo diner which can be intimidating, but from the moment I walked in they made me feel welcome. The food was delicious and creative. I love how they brought each dish to your table for you to decide whether you’d like to try it or not. Fun atmosphere and great service.

Overall, we loved the concept and thought the interactive nature of the menu was fun and lively. Some of the food hit the mark and some were less pleasing. My husband likened the experience to a Top Chef quickfire. You never know if what you’re presented with will be on point or a let down. The combinations of flavors is bold but, again, not necessarily cohesive. The major reason for why I gave this 3 overall is the price point. We did NOT get 4 things on the food menu, and with tip, it came out to over $300 for 2 people. For how much we did not enjoy the food, I would say it’s not worth it. The caveat is they have a revolving menu.

PROS:
The service is spot on, and everyone was really amicable and knowledgeable of the menu. Drinks were amazing. The oyster, chicken liver, and lamb dishes were great. The trout was salty but still good. We really liked the salad. The banana pudding was good, but with many banana desserts, it was a bit too sweet.

CONS:
The tuna and strawberry combination did not go well. The shrimp bene was weird, lacked needed flavor, and just off. The crab with the sea urchin was meh, which was upsetting as we were looking forward to it.

This is a fun experience that we encourage people to try, but it didn’t blow my socks off.

Absolutely excellent food and drinks at Gunshow. I enjoyed the mushroom type dish, not sure what what it was but the brown sauce was yummy and the texture was like a mushroom, some type of vegetable. You have to try the American unagi, the citrus and other spice made this an excellent choice.
Don’t forget the burnt sugar old fashion, the presentation and taste were excellent.
Keep up the good work.
Remember to get the tamale too, with the green sauce.

Gunshow was out of this world. The only thing we ordered that we didn’t like were the shrimp noodles. Everything else was simply incredible

Gunshow is less a dining hall and more an elaborate theatre, one where food plays the reluctant understudy to spectacle.

They charge, mind you, not merely for sustenance but for art. Alas, one’s purse grows lighter whilst one’s stomach remains in tragic suspense often times. I departed the place not unlike a man who has attended a sermon, spiritually stirred, but bodily unfed.

It is, in all fairness, an experiment and an expensive one, akin to those alchemists who turn gold into confusion. There is, I daresay, an air of European pretension about the whole affair, as though the roast quail had studied abroad and returned unbearably cultured.

Reservations are scarce, of course, for scarcity is the new seasoning. It lends the place an aura of exclusivity, much like a velvet rope before an empty ballroom. I have dined upon finer fare and sipped more honest wine, yet I find myself oddly amused.

For truly, no one visits Gunshow in pursuit of mere nourishment. Nay, one goes to witness the grand performance of modern appetite: where hunger and vanity duel with silver forks and the only casualty is one’s wallet.

Tragic, delicious folly!

You come here to sample spectacular amazing beautiful food, not stuff your fat gullet. The staff is fantastically attentive, the sommelier is superb, the cocktails are transcendent, and the food is a blend of creativity, love, respect, and effort. You will spend money, but you will gain significantly more in a palette experience worth every penny.

What a fantastic dinner experience, one of the top 5 I’ve ever had. The concept is so unique – basically a dim sum style build your own tasting menu, where different chefs brings their food creations and you say yes or no.

The space is open, bright, and laid back.
The staff were incredibly helpful. A special shout out to Nate the bartender who told us the stories of how he created the Collard drink (including a taste test of Ethiopian spices, butter & collards!)

The food was eccentric to say the least, menu changes every few weeks, our favorites were a chicken liver mouse app and a shrimp gumbo dish, but we even had sea urchin ice cream (I wish we had photos, but we were too busy eating!)

The chefs took a picture with our party at the end of the night since we closed down the restaurant. Expect to spend here, but every $ is worth it!
