Meatball Sandwich
The taste and size of the meatballs were good, but the temperature at which the sauce and the meatballs was not hot enough; even on a takeout order, one could tell this was not hot enough and ruined the taste a bit.
The roll/ bread that was used seemed older, as the bread was a little tough and the inside but soft. $27 for a 7″ meatball sandwich, Boyles rootbeer, cookie and chips, is a bit much, but guess the CA norm with the idiot in office…
In the end, this was enjoyed, and a kudos on the peanut butter cookie, that looked too be baked on premises, with their label on it…

Fast and friendly service. The food was very delicious and filling. Their pastrami is by far one of the best that I have tasted. Their larger size sandwiches are definitely enough for 2 people.

I like the aroma when u walk in and how neat and clean everything looks. I enjoyed the old school deli feel where you can also grab an assortment of wines and drinks to go with your meal. I will be back to try some different sandwiches they have. I did choose the lasagna and I was pretty satisfied.

Finally got to try this place. I had their Capicola cold cut, which is new on the menu. Good sub but now looking forward to trying their Lasagna…

It’s another world here. 2 of the counter experts were so helpful and over the top friendly. I’ve been coming for over 17 years but sometimes I forget how different they are at Santa Fe. It feels like family.
I was so excited when I learned they occasionally sell their pizza dough. I bought 2 lbs and made 2 pizzas that night. I saved 2 doughs in the freezer for a week. Busted it out tonight and couldn’t be happier with the results! The dough isn’t great at my usual 900 degrees but really did well at 650.

I have been coming to meatball Monday for 10 years now, it’s been a little while since I was here last the prices have increased a little bit, which is not really that surprising. I believe a small used to be 799. It is now 999 which is not atrocious but will be notable if you come a lot..
Quality of the meatball sandwich as I remember; delicious.
The market has a great selection of hard to find Italian goods like pastas, oils, spices, and wines.
They have an excellent selection of cold drinks and interesting sodas. The pizza is delicious. The pastas are very good. The sandwiches are excellent. I have never had the salad bar, but it does look pretty nice and is always busy.

$18.95 for a pastrami sandwich. The bread was delicious. I must’ve gone on a bad day. The pastrami was dry and tough. It was difficult to find parking.

75 years in business….because it’s that good. We got pastrami sandwiches to go. There is a long counter that faces the street that you can eat at there but not very big, so you may end up shoulder to shoulder with a stranger.

Quiet street offers supreme Italian quick subs and a whole grocery store dedicated to various Italian foods. I’m a meatball sub fan but it has to be on heavy sauce proof bread which this deli supplies.
