Long John Silver’s – I just had the worst experience in public, I’ve ever had. I was the location at 4401 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, St Peters, MO 63376.
I went inside to peruse the menu, as one does in a restaurant they haven’t been to for 30 years. Someone (could me me, fine) put the wrong menu item in. I noticed it after the transaction, and asked the woman behind the counter to help. She gave me the thousand yard stare for longer than one should be comfortable with, and then asked her manager for help. Then, noticing my frustration with her stare, told me I should leave and that they would refund my money.
She then went outside, where I was fairly certain she was intending to do something with my car. She finally came back in while I was being offered a “free” dessert for my inconvenience. I suggested I really wanted a refund, and that I would go elsewhere.
She then started to approach me, and this was the first time in at least 30 years I felt like I was going to have to defend myself. I had visions of being in a video posted to Reddit.
This woman is unhinged. Given that your General Manager is perhaps, 5 years older than my twins (16), that’s frankly, grossly irresponsible. The manager told me she was under review, but she was told she could not fire the employee.
Either give the management some power, or close this store. It’s obviously, well past time. Your employee is unhinged.

My husband picked up a To go order for us. We had ordered a shrimp platter and a shrimp and fish platter. I don’t really care for fish but its the first Friday of lent and this what we choose.
Well one box had 2 pieces of fish and about 8 hush puppies and a few fries.
The second box had 3 pieces of fish and green beans. We had a container of Cole slaw as well.
No shrimp, no sauces, and only 3 side. After working a long day we did not want to drive the 15 minutes back up there. So I called the store. When I began to ex0lain that we did not receive our order, I was interrupted and told my name is Josh write on top your receipt and we will replace your items on your next vist. I then said thats it, thinking an apology would come. He said just write my name on your receipt. I went to ask anthor question bit was hung up.
We ate what we had and the night and no the morning we have both been dealing with upset stomachs and bad trips to the bathroom.
As a former restraunt manger I try jot to complain but this service and food quality was the worst and now that we feel ill I couldn’t not speak up.
There was more craziness while my husband was there.

It’s great food. You have to put up with the store and the staff as they are, but the food is always good. Long John Silvers has better waffle fries than Chik Fil A.

I stopped by here for a dinner to dine in.
There were no other customers in the store when we arrived.
We walked right in and they were ready to take out order.
The menu is laid out nice snd easy to read.
There’s alot of variations of food to get and sub certain things gor others.
I had the 8 piece shrimp meal with double waffles fries, which comes with a few hush puppies.
Soda is extra
Everything tasted good a d the ketchup and shrimp sauce squirt bottles were clean and worked well
The shrimp was good and the waffles fries could of been cooked a bit long because they were super crispy.
Overall the workers I chatted with had a good idea of what needs to be done.
Our food came out pretty quick and the soda selections are nice.
The location may be forgotten alot of times because it’s a bit further on the outer road but it’s a nice visit that hasn’t changed much that I can remember.
The booths were nice with some wood backs with certain beach locations.
You can ring a nice bell as you walk out the door.(wish I got a pic of that, till next time)

Placed the order 2 pc fish and 6 shrimp platter plus 1 pc fish. I was asked at window if I would take a chicken tender instead of fish because it would take awhile to drop more fish. Isn’t that what you do though? No fish cooked? No problem I said, but when I get home it’s 1 pc fish, 1 half piece fish and 1 small tender. The fish was dry, cold and more crust than fish. Waffle Fries were way overcooked and small like I got crumbs from the bottom of the fryer. There was 1 good fry though. The 6 shrimp were ok but you had to dig thru 3 inches of breading to get to each one and the hush puppies were burnt and hard like golf balls. I’m thankful the Cole slaw was good and cold because that’s what I paid 19$ and some change for. Never again.

This place is absolutely disgusting as soon as we walked in you could tell the floors and tables haven’t been cleaned what looked like in days the floors were so greasy. We went to sit down by the windows and there was nothing but dead bugs in the windows and ketchup smears all over. And to top it off the food was so nasty the fry’s were coated in salt the fish was so greasy as well as the chicken but it was also so dry like it was sitting there for hours and they just re dropped it in the grease once we order which would explain how we got our food so fast literally not even two minutes after we had ordered the food was already there so who knows how long it had just been sitting there. My husband went to the bathroom and he said there was so much mold in the men’s bathroom and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. This place needs to be shut down there are so many food violations happening it’s not even funny

Haven’t had long John Silvers in 20 years & started craving it. Loaded up the family & drove 40 minutes there. Instantly disappointed! Lobby was closed to public at 400pm in afternoon. Kids highly upset we can’t sit down & eat. Lot looks abandoned & destroyed. Ordered a 12 piece family combo. What a major let down. We had to drive home to eat our food & it was horrible. 100% disappointed and highly upset. I should of drove back & demanded my money & gave them all the burnt to hell food back. We didn’t even eat more then 10% of it. The only good part was the staff was really polite & professional.

Kid that waited on me today was rude when he gave me my 2pc fish combo to go he gave it to me with his back turn to me and dropped it over his shoulder on the counter. And when I asked for tartar sauce i had my hand out then he got 2 packs held his hand up and just dropped them on the counter
