LET ME TELL YOU!!! Absolutely the best BBQ place in all of Connecticut! Me and my mines are new to the area and were looking to give us a real back home kind of feel. Soon as we walked inside the music the atmosphere the energy and the staff everything screamed Texas to us and Woooooouuuuuu lemme tell yall. Get yall rears down to Mission BBQ let the team take care of you. Good food good music felt like I was walking in my aunty house on Thanksgiving! Thank you to all staff and everybody who explained the menus and the sauces, very detailed!!!

Honestly, I had high hopes for this meal, but it did measure up: for the amount of money you pay, you don’t get much food, and while this is true for many BBQ places in general I felt robbed with what was presented to me. Now if all of the food was amazing I wouldn’t complain so much, however I would say half of the items that came with the meal were lack luster: the pull pork was incredibly dry (you had to eat with sauce), the brisket was not as moist one would expect, and the BBQ beans were the most disappointing of all. The sauces were unique but failed to measure up, if vinegary sauce is your style, more power to you, but it was not for me. Furthermore the smoke flavor in the sauce and BBQ beans artificial, like someone added too much liquid smoke to it. Overall, I was not satisfied with my meal, and for $30 I wish quality and quantity, it was just not worth it.

Rebecca took care of our catering order , planned the delivery and made things so simple. Also the driver who I can’t remember his name was professional and thorough. Please let them both know that their kindness and care to detail from putting the order to setting up the table was well done! They deserve to be recognized.

I love BBQ and if you do then you’ll love this place. I’ve been to this location and the one in Orange and the consistency is fantastic. You can tell the staff are very passionate about their craft from opening to closing. They’re also exceptional friendly and some are energetic which is very refreshing. The brisket, ribs and pulled pork are always a hit. Very flavorable, seasoned well, cooked perfectly and super tasty. The sides like the cornbread, collard greens, and the mac n cheese are superb as well. Now BBQ is expensive at times but regardless Mission BBQ is worth it every single time.

Drop any preconceived notions you may have about Mission BBQ being a franchise – this spot is actually so good!! We stopped by as we were traveling down 84 looking for a quick meal, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The level of service here was truly exceptional. It was pretty near closing time, but the staff took the time to go through the menu with us, and even gave us complimentary blueberry cobbler since we were first time customers. The military memorabilia was so cool, and they gave my dad a military discount to thank him for his service (and we got a prime parking spot reserved for veterans too)! The food was delicious, with my favorite being the jalapeno and cheese sausage. We will absolutely be back, and I only wish I had tried them sooner!

This place sets an incredibly high bar for food and service! Rarely have I ever felt so welcome and served. The BBQ here is legit! Brisket and pulled pork are outstanding and the compliments of sauces is remarkable. Absolutely will be going back multiple times! Well worth the drive and the price!

My fiancée and I were having a really tough day — we honestly came in with tears in our eyes and left with joyful ones. I don’t know if they could see it on our faces, but somehow, they made us feel completely at home. It felt like God placed us there in that very moment for a reason. Their warmth lifted our spirits and reminded us that His light still shines through people every single day.
Great people. Great place. Great food.

I wish I could this place more stars! We were serve with great hospitality and kindness. Food was delicious, Super Seasonal baked Mad potato was great. For sauces, Smoky Mountain sauce and Hot Honey (?) Was our favorite. Service – they went above and beyond as it was our first time there.
