I’ve lived in Monticello for years but for some reason never got around to trying the diner. Well, I finally did last night & I was not dissapointed! I tried the country fried steak with sausage gravy. It was delicious! There was a lot of gravy on it which I didn’t expect but it still tasted fine. I had some broccoli and home fries on the side, they were yummy as well. The service was great too; the employees were kind. This is a nice little place, I would definitely be returning in the future!

This place is very spectacular, benevolent and immaculate. But unfortunately the potato’s r very disappointing it made me very sad and my steak bary bary dry and over cooked. Mannnn very sad 🙁 docking off a star sowwyyy. But immaculate service I do be liking that one very very good. Thank you come again. Oh my goodness not safe ☹️

We got hungry for lunch after a hike in the area but were unable to agree on a single cuisine. Decided to try this diner after reading the reviews. Lots of options – everyone found something they like, from bison burgers to rice and lamb shank to Korean steak tacos to grilled haddock over rice to wraps to breakfast fare. Highly recommend the Korean tacos and the lamb shanks, they stood out with their beautiful executions.

A great little diner in Monticello. Typical diner fare. HUGE portions, tasty breakfast. I had one biscuit with sausage gravy, glad I only ordered one, it was a Huge biscuit! Over easy egg on the side with hash browns. Delicious. The other person in my party had blueberry pancakes with bacon. Three HUGE pancakes stuffed with blueberries, nice crisp bacon. Big menu, typical of a diner! I’d go back!

I was pleasantly surprised by this diner. The interior beauty harkens back to the classic American dining experience with a hint of extra class found in the wooden liveries and warm lighting. My coworkers and I came in for a late lunch and had a seamless experience that came with well informed recommendations on the menu from the polite waiter whose name unfortunately escapes me. The food was excellent, a healthy mix of classic Breakfast diner options with other home stay meals that were very fair portions for the price.

The food was amazing at this dinner! The portion sizes were amazing and we really enjoyed ourselves. It also serves canadian style bacon and waffles were the best!

We came in on a rainy morning and enjoyed a warm cozy breakfast. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and their homemade cheesecake was amazing!! It was like a basque style cheesecake. We were a big group of seven, but were promptly seated and they made it easy to split the bill. Highly recommend!

We come here to eat every year when we visit Kartrite. The food is delicious, TONS of options, prices are reasonable, and servings are plentiful. We look forward to our annual visit all year long. Old dinner atmosphere that stirs up nostalgia. Love it!

My family and I were staying at the Kartrite Resort and decided to come here for dinner since it was close to the resort. Atmosphere is your typical mom & pop diner. Food was decent. I ordered a chicken fajita panini, it was good but the chicken was very thin. I felt like I was eating more bread than chicken as you can see from the photo I provided. Overall food was good, nothing out of this world. Friendly staff.
