Marcus Bar & Grille is a vibrant, funky neighborhood restaurant dreamt up by Chef Marcus Samuelsson. Out of a gorgeous open kitchen featuring a wood-fired grill and oven, Marcus B&G serves elevated comfort classics and ambitious signature dishes. Taking cues from the history of Atlanta and the Old Fourth Ward, the space is built to celebrate community, music, and great food & drink. Our Holiday & Birthday Celebration!
I had to drop a review for Marcus Bar & Grille because they absolutely crushed our holiday work dinner and coworker’s birthday celebration.
We were looking for a spot with great vibes and even better food, and this was exactly the right call.The staff was incredibly welcoming from the jump.
Since we were celebrating a birthday for one of our more “seasoned” team members, we decided to skip the usual cake and went for a champagne toast instead. It was the perfect move—definitely a hit for a palate that prefers some bubbles over extra sugar!
Even though we kept it a bit more sophisticated with the toast, the staff still brought that great energy and joined us to sing “Happy Birthday,” which really made the night feel special.
As for the food, every plate that hit the table was a winner. You can tell they put a lot of heart into the menu. It’s rare to find a place that feels this cool and high-end but still treats you like a regular.
Whether you’re looking to host a work group or just want a top-tier meal with a staff that actually cares, Marcus Bar & Grille is it.
Big thanks to the team there for making our holiday party one to remember. We’ll definitely be back for round two

Unfortunately you guys disappointed us BIG TIME!! Out of 7-8 courses, I only enjoyed the conrbread (but yall was stingy on the portions) and the skate ribs, not enough for our table.
The Sunday supper was such a SCAM & disappointment! We were pressured to go with the family style Sunday supper and it was not worth it at all. Not nearly enough food for 7 people to share.
The waitress was nice at first but once service started she began to avoid us. Instead us talking us through the long wait and mediocre food , she had an attitude.
The slowest service ever, we sat at 5pm and had dessert at almost 8pm.
* the chicken and fish was mixed together , salty and taste like old grease SO SAD
* collard greens were weird and soaked in a heavy gravy
*peach cobbler was ok but had an overpowering nutmeg flavor it gave apple pie
* brussel sprouts were good
* lamb was dry and taste reheated
* most of the food came out cold
* THE RED BEANS AND COCONUT RIce EEEYUCKKKKKKK .. cold , soggy, just giving it out … the kitchen said they could not fix it and gave us more Brussels.
* my drink the 75 south was good but not good enough
* they put someone else item on our check and told us to figure it out.. it was just an extra salmon so we took that on the chin
Gave us foil paper to cover our left overs… which was extra brussel sprouts
We spent $256 for our separate 2 guest check with automatic 20% gratuity.

We flew in from Minnesota and had a fantastic time! The food was amazing but also the service was awesome! Tracy was the absolute best! She made our visit fun and memorable. Also the executive chef came out and not only talked with us but let us get a picture with him (we are a foodie family). If you’re in Atlanta I highly recommend and ask for Tracy as your server. You won’t regret it!

The google rating does not do this place justice. This place was truly an experience, from Jackie our server, to the DELICIOUS out of this world food and the cocktails crafted by Leroy. The decor and atmosphere was just the icing on the cake. This food, I have eaten all over the U.S. and have never had such deliciousness that made me want to change zip codes. We came back the next day for brunch, it was so good!

I went on their “Pie & Bougie” night where you get to enjoy a delicious personal pizza and bottle of Rosé. Everything was delicious. (My plate was empty!) The 3-star is for parking. The site initially said there was valet parking but when we arrived we didn’t see valet parking and they reconfirmed “ no valet” when we arrived inside. We ended up using the parking lot they have on their website for valet which was 569 Edgewood Avenue. They had a parking QR code you could scan and I ended up paying $12. Weeks later, I received a letter in the mail stating the fee was now an additional $50 because of a failure to read the fine print posted at the parking location. I was fuming of course because I’d already paid. So, now, whenever I think of MBG I always think of that horrid parking moment. Safer to come during times where you can park on the street I guess.

Very nice spot! Loved the music, staff was super friendly and accommodating! Manager spent a lot of time at our table. Food was great….especially the brisket!!! Didn’t care for the desserts though (King Cake, Peach Cobbler) and I forget the name of the other one.

Dined here with some friends in April. It was five of us total. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. It was a nice crowd there. The service was great, our server Candie was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the appetizers. We had the deviled eggs and the other check at our table ordered the cornbread. The cornbread was good. The drinks were good but the Salmon was just okay in my opinion. As far as parking, there are a few spots available right up front for street parking but it was full. They had a valet nearby that was around $10 I think, it wasn’t extreme.
Again, the service was great but it’ll probably be a one time visit for me.

If you have not been to Marcus Bar & Grille, its a real great atmosphere. The food is delicious and music is a whole vibe. Great for nights out with your friends and date nights.
