I’m sure the young boy that answered the phone was the same person at the front desk when I picked up. His customer service was amazing. The food was good and I would recommend the chicken fingers. However the fried chicken was a bit too well done to my liking but overall the experience and customer service was fantastic!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS, I WOULD, DESIREE IS A TREASURE AT LUCKY WISHBONE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Let me tell you something about the Lucky Wishbone on Silverlake & Mission in Tucson: I’ve been coming here for years, 3 to 4 times a year like clockwork, and the food has ALWAYS been legendary. But lately?
There’s something different. Something rare. Something the restaurant industry desperately needs more of.
That “something” has a name: DESIREE.
This woman is a powerhouse of professionalism, kindness, and humanity on a level I honestly didn’t think still existed in today’s world. The last three visits, she has been on shift, and each time she has delivered what can only be described as master-class customer service.
She is:
✨ Respectful
✨ Efficient
✨ Organized
✨ A visual WORK HORSE
✨ And genuinely kind to every single human who walks in the door
And let me be VERY clear, I watched this woman treat a stinky, struggling homeless man with the exact same warmth and dignity she showed a white-collar businessman who came in right after him. Unfortunately, that businessman loudly complained, embarrassed the poor guy, and drove him to take his food to go. But Desiree? Not even a flicker of judgment. She served both men with the SAME smile, the SAME respect, and the SAME heart.
That is rare.
That is special.
That is the kind of humanity this world needs more of.
And on top of that, the restaurant has NEVER, and I mean NEVER, looked as spotless, organized, and smoothly run as when Desiree is at the helm. She’s greeting guests, cleaning, managing orders, supporting her team, handling the rush, all WITHOUT losing her smile.
Lucky Wishbone… you better realize the gem you have in this woman.
People like Desiree don’t just “work” somewhere, they ELEVATE the entire place.
I even stopped her personally to tell her how incredible she is, and promised her I’d make sure people knew her name. So here it is, loud and proud for everyone to see:
DESIREE IS ONE OF A KIND.
DESIREE MAKES THIS LOCATION SHINE.
DESIREE DESERVES ALL THE RECOGNITION IN THE WORLD.
DESIREE MAKES IT WORTH MY 2 HOUR DRIVE TO EAT HERE.
Lucky Wishbone Management, employees, fellow customers, if you’re reading this, you/we have an absolute rockstar on your/our team. Take care of her, because employees like this are the heartbeat of a business.
To anyone reading this review:
If you want great food and a reminder that good humans still exist…
Go to the Lucky Wishbone on Silverlake & Mission.
Look for Desiree.
Watch greatness in action!
10/10. Five stars aren’t enough.
Thank you, Desiree, keep being you! Have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

This was a large order, but it took them 30 minutes to complete it and there was only one other couple there when we arrived. There were seven employees there mostly just standing in the back. Then the order was wrong. The two female employees were rude about it. The young male worker actually agreed with us. Finally the manager came and offered to rectify the situation but by that time we were so exasperated that we just rolled. The only negative experience we’ve ever had with any Lucky Wishbone.

Wife and I had the fish. I realize it’s a chicken place but if you have an item on the menu then it should be at the least,, average right. Pitiful, the fish was worse than Gordon fish sticks. I took a bit and they were almost hollow inside, same with the next piece. If you do try the place, definitely don’t try the fish . Oh did I mention it was greasy as heck ! Spent $30 on stuff that was mostly uneatable !!! You have been warned. We will never return. Pitty

Tried the 9pc Sampler. The steak strips were dry & the shrimp was alright. The chicken was the best meat in the dish but was still much drier than what I prefer.
The sauce it comes with takes like a cocktail sauce. Was curious to see if they offered any other sauces but to no avail, ketchup was the only other option.
Overall, if I was looking for some good fries I would come here.

Nine times out of 10 I usually do not have a bad experience at Lucky Wishbone. However last night I purchased a family feast of fried chicken for my parents. They have been coming to this establishment for over 30 years and have never had any type of issues. The quality of the chicken was to my disbelief it was hard, not fresh, over cooked, as though it was old and just reheated. I called back and spoke with Cindy and all she recommended it was for me to go back and get a new family feast or refund. I explain to her that I had already gotten home after a long day of work and was not able to go back last night. I called her back and I asked her if it was possible to just give me a refund to my card without me having to go back in and she said she was not able to that I would have to call in the morning and speak with Grace. This level of customer service is unacceptable the quality of food is unacceptable as my parents were unable to eat it unfortunately. Hopefully today something will be resolved of this matter because we are loyal customers to this hometown establishment.

What’s the point of running a restaurant if you aren’t going to open the doors during hours of operation? It is like saying that my time doesn’t matter. Massive middle finger to drive all the way over to the store to find a locked door during business hours. Been going to LW for 20 years and won’t be going back. I don’t pay that kind of money for absent customer service.

The chicken is crispy and the coleslaw is cold and crunchy. The frys are fresh.
So good .

They’re way too pricey for just deep-fried foods, it’s very easy to spend $60-$80, that’s ridiculous their garlic bread and their fries are always soggy, big turn off. Their chicken, fish, and steak fingers are OK, but not THAT ok, so we don’t go but extremely rarely.

This place seemed pretty uninspired. There were quite a few regulars eating there, but I won’t be a regular. The fish sandwich was mostly a breaded piece of fish on a white bun with white lettuce and mayonnaise. The onion rings were okay. The young lady at the counter was barely courteous, and definitely not friendly. The eating hall is like a large cement room with a high ceiling. Not very attractive.
