I have only used this Grotto pizza for takeout on my way to visit family or the area beaches. The service has always been friendly and welcoming to customers. I appreciate it and keep using them whenever we’re in the area. The food is good and I love the convenience of the location right off of the highway!

Have ordered pizza here before and have been pleased, however, ordered two pizzas last night and based on them, I will most probably never order from them again. The “regular” pizza with added items looked like a pizza with just red sauce and very little else. It didn’t even look like cheese had been added. The total cost for both pizzas which looked like medium size was $52.98.

We had a large party tonight. Our server was great, but she should have been given a “buddy” to help her with checking in on our table. At times we felt like we were forgotten. And again it was not her fault, she was Great & did her job serving us and her other tables better than we expected for one person. Next time Grotto’s management think of your servers and your customers. If the servers are busy than you come check on extra large tables to make sure the table is ‘ok’. I’m sure your servers, and your customers would appreciate the extra effort of a manager stepping in to lend a hand.

One of the best pizzas I have ever had! All of the rest of their food that I’ve tried thus far as been amazing as well. The staff is incredible and Sam (who I see the most) is always very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend everyone eat hear!

prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down. the food is not the same. forgot to mention the meatball subs suck now. meatballs seem frozen and they use cheap low quality rolls now. they forgot my sweet peppers

Got take out. Sauce is sweeter than it used to be. Not as good. Dough not as crackery . Meaning like a cracker on the bottom as it used to be, perhaps the oven is too fast?

This was my first time re-trying Grotto Pizza in the last 10 years, I brought my family. We had a meatlover and a cheese pizza, along with an order of Honey BBQ traditional wings.
The pizza (meatlover) was average, nothing special for the price paid. It was overly acidic and the sausage took over the flavor, there was pepperoni and allegedly another meat but I couldn’t tell. A frozen pizza would have been a more cost-efficient and tastier option. The Cheese pizza was alright. Wings were good enough but again, not worth the price especially when Buffalo Wild Wings is next door for a wing option.
Service was good, helpful and mostly attentive. It wasn’t too busy when I was there, though it took several minutes of waiting for them to find us a table.
The menus could use a replacement or cleaning and there was a dead bug on the windowsill next to our table.
Atmosphere was good, nice energy and good music.
Overall, I won’t likely give a third chance.

Good food. Some of the best wings anywhere, meaty and their buffalo sauce has a unique sweet heat that is delicious. Service is always friendly but you’re often waiting for refills. Bit on the pricey side. Pizza is unique, alternating stripes of sauce and cheese. I personally prefer sauce under cheese but it does taste good, good crust. This location is consistently a better experience than other Grotto locations.

Grotto’s is one of my favorite places to get pizza when I’m visiting in Delaware. I have been to multiple locations in the area, and they are all pretty similar in appearance. For some reason, the pizza was not quite as good as other locations I’ve been to (can’t put my finger on it). Nonetheless, it was still good, and I was glad that we stopped. Service was excellent! I love that I can get some popcorn from the bar area and take it to the table while we wait for our pizza! Boardwalk fries with cheese was also a tasty appetizer!
