Recently dined at Royal Tandoor Restaurant and it turned out to be one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had in LA.
Starting with appetizers—Paneer Tikka (served sizzling hot) and Hara Bhara Kebab. Both were delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. For drinks, I tried the Sweet Lassi and Iced Tea, which were refreshing and paired well with the overall meal.
For the main course, we had Garlic Butter Naan, Tandoori Roti, Shahi Paneer, and Dal Makhani. The breads were soft and perfectly baked in the tandoor, while the curries were pretty rich and flavorful, so say the least: very comforting in every bite.
To that end, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary Rasgulla, which was a delightful touch by the hosts.
Special mention to servers, Ayub and Manpreet, who were incredibly attentive, warm, and professional throughout the dining, they truly elevated the dining experience.
My recommendation to everyone around North LA & SoCal to dine here for sure. My best regards to the team working back in the kitchen, bringing the Indian magic with all honesty & professionalism.

Came here cause I was craving something delicious and spicy! I told the server I wanted something with Lamb that was very spicy. He recommended the Lamb Vindaloo. He then asked me if i wanted it American spicy or Indian spicy. The look in his eye when he said Indian spicy scared me so I said American. When he brought out the meal, he also brought a side of the Indian spicy sauce for me just incase. This food was delicious! I added the Indian spices almost immediately and was very please with the level of spiciness. If you want great Indian food at a great price, come here! Also, don’t do what I did and wait for a check hahahaha. You go up to the counter to pay. Oh yea, one order of the Lamb Vindaloo, Garlic Naan and Rice is enough for 2 full meals!

We have been going to Royal Tandoor for years, and it continues to be absolutely fantastic for North Indian food. The taste is consistently excellent and truly guaranteed every time we visit. The quality of the food combined with very reasonable pricing makes it stand out.

OMG for the love of all that is holy!!!!! Why did it take me this long to try Indian food?!? This place is absolutely DELICIOUS! The service was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced! Everyone and to the table to ask us how we are enjoying everything. But the food!!!!!! We had the Samosa are so flavorful and I wanted to eat them all!!! The. We ordered Chicken Makhni and the Garlic Chicken. It came with Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. For the love of god I have not enjoyed a dinner like this in a very long time. For dessert we enjoyed Kheer my new favorite taste and Kekoa loved the Gulab Jamun and he didn’t even share it was so good. Truly just an amazing place from food to the friendly people. As Bill said we are now family!

We went for the weekend lunch buffet. We drove out from the SFV and it was well worth it. I loved the vivid colors, upbeat music, and friendly service. The price for the buffet which includes fresh Naan, Mango Lassi, bottled water, and a drink for $16.99 can’t be beat. The was was very good with lots of vegetarian options. I liked that they have a full bar and a really nice side area that was being used for a private party. They didn’t even charge us for our son, but I’m not sure what the official policy is. I’ve also had their food at someone’s home who ordered delivery and it was very delicious.

Food was fine with decent variety for the price, but the service was really bad. The bread was not replenished consistently and the servers seemed not to care at all. My friend who tried Indian food for the first time was also very disappointed with the service we received.
