I had the $6.99 special and it was a real bargain for what you get. Choice of pasta (Shrimp Scampi over Linguini)
and choice of salad (I had the Chopped Salad). My friend also had the special – half a sandwich and soup. The sandwich was pathetic and the soup was small and just fair tasting. A real disappointment. I would go back for what I had, but skip the soup and salad. Especially if paying full price.

Worst experience I have ever had there. Not sure who is working or if they even read the order. I ordered the half salad half sandwich. Berry salad no blue cheese..2 one for myself and my husband…added the pretzel bread ham sandwich for both. $ 38.00 later when the order was picked up and brought h ome the salads had blue cheese and the sandwiches were dry with very little ham and really no condiment sauce on them. What a waste…horrible! There are plenty of sandwich places to choose from for a business to sell an I don’t care package. NEVER AGAIN!

Was craving pancakes and just so happened to be in the area.
Always a peaceful atmosphere with friendly staff. Ordered the pancake combo with bacon and eggs. No complaints, it was all good. Was hoping to add a little fizz to my order but the soda machine was broken. I opted for a lemonade instead.
The cashier was high energy, full of personality and even cracked a few jokes.

The cashier was really slow and only one on duty at 630pm? Waiting for the food was also longer than normal, but the food tastes really good, so maybe worth the wait. There want that many people dining in tonight. Not sure how busy it is at lunch time, but I think this is a good option for lunch and quick bites.

Not fresh food for sure. Is food that obviously is prepared in large amounts ahead of serving time and warmed up a little before serving. Diced potatoes were terrible. Eggs, so so. Coffee nothing to brag about. What I liked: the toast and a couple of tiny slices of avocado that looked fresh. The place is clean and tidy. Not my type of breakfast place. First time here.

I usually order the chicken pomodori and the tomato soup when I visit the restaurant. They’re both really good. Today I didn’t want to get out of bed so I ordered through Grubhub. The driver drove in a direction that passed my house and parked there for a while. I called him and he didn’t answer. I text him and told him to answer his phone. He did and told me he was fixing his tire. What!? I don’t know what exactly this man was doing with my food in his car. When I got my food, I noticed it was not secured, no sticker or staple. BEWARE!!!! Corner Bakery Cafe do not secure your food. That driver had access to my paninis and soups. I was afraid to eat the food especially after he abruptly ended our conversation. The way the world is today, shame on Corner Bakery Cafe for allowing strangers access to my meals. He could have spit in it, put his tongue and who knows what else in it. I worked it out with Grubhub and went to the restaurant to inquire about basically giving strangers open food to give to their paying customers. The manager, Kendra listened, was open and very receptive. I was giving three stars but because of her I’m giving four.

Was about to order food to go but needed to use the restroom first. Walked past an older black woman named Anna, allegedly, who then shouted after me, she’s mopping back there! No hello, how are you, nothing. Just shouting after a customer for no reason. I tell her I’m using the bathroom anyway and she loses her mind. I get to the bathroom ain’t nobody mopping at ALL. Just a pleasant young girl putting away some toilet paper. Then I hear Anna losing her mind LYING about what just happened in the hallway to the young girl. What in the hell??! Please get rid of this person. She is angry, doesn’t like her job and doesn’t seem to like customers and probably her own life. It is absolutely mind boggling why anyone would treat a customer this way. Just leave people the hell alone. Nobody should be mopping at 630 anyway if you close at 9. I left without anything because Anna was behind the counter yelling about it to another employee, her own version of events. She doesn’t need to be policing the bathroom or telling grown adults what to do. If there was someone mopping, I’m sure I could’ve figured out what the hell to do . Thank God for the young girl working who apologized for Anna’s dreadful behavior.

I used Corner Bakery in Oak Lawn for a rather large, yearly catering order, and they delivered perfectly! Everything was on time, service was prompt, and the entire process went smoothly. I received rave reviews about the food choices from everyone. Anna and Rosa were magnificent, and every staff member I worked with was professional and helpful. We will definitely continue to use Corner Bakery for our events. Thank you so much!

Went to the one on 95yh and Cicero and was definitely not impressed. They told me they didn’t have the orzo soup for both orders, yet they brought one really burnt and it had been sitting there for hours. When we got home, the second one to go, was as bad!!! They took about 30 minutes to get our 1/2 soup & 1/2 sandwich. One of the staff members apologized for delay and offered is desserts. We didn’t really care as we’re nervous it would be bad. The sandwich was terrible and missing half of the chicken or not sure because it was half sandwich, it was serve that way.not impressed with this location. LaGrange was so much better.
