Pulled Up Hungry
For Valentine’s Day, my reservation at another restaurant near Clifton could not be accommodated despite being reserved months in advance. Have you ever tried to find a last minute place to eat on Valentine’s Day? Nearly impossible! The staff at Yasmeen was not only happy to invite us to stop by, but made sure we were taken care of in a timely manner, with great service as well! And this is not to say they were a “second choice”. My fiance and I agreed that we were much happier with Yasmeen than we could’ve ever been at the other restaurant!
The food was amazing! So many flavors and options. We had some cold dishes to begin, lamb, and a mixed grill platter. Even though the place was PACKED, the quality of food wasn’t diminished at all, nor did we feel abandoned at any time. The staff helped us pick off the menu and didn’t rush us even for a second.
Cannot recommend this place more.
(As a bonus the hookah was some of the best we’ve ever tried!)

Byob spot with vallet parking, nice atmosphere and excellent service. A friend recommended the chicken, lamb, kafta plate. Honestly I usually stay away from the chicken kebabs because its dry, but this place is special. That was the best I’ve ever had, the chicken was moist and super flavorful! The jumbo fried shrimp was cooked perfectly, would definitely go back. Good vibe, they had hookah too!

i hosted an event with over 80 people here and they exceeded my expectations. from their hospitality, clean and organized work, and excellent communication, my event was a dream come true. everything went smoothly and all of my guests were blown away by the restaurant itself and the amazing & flavorful food.
bassel was so attentive and made sure every detail was perfect. maria is also one of the most sweetest, professional waitresses ive ever met!
i highly recommend yasmeen restaurant for any type of events you would like to host or even just a normal dine in experience. you will not be disappointed, trust me.

The good news is that our bill came up to about $112 and we got $100 credit from the American Express Platinum Card Credit so I didn’t feel so bad. Thanks to the Resy partnership.
Food
The food itself was okay. Nothing stood out as super tasty or above and beyond what I would consider average Mediterranean food. Surprisingly, my favorite thing was their mint lemonade, it was probably the best drink I’ve ever had in my entire life.
Service
I wasn’t a fan of the service. I guess they were busy that Sunday when we made our reservation, but we stood at the desk forever. There was no hostess and no one greeted us. We had to walk inside to the back twice for someone to notice us. When we were finally seated, the girl rushed us to a table all the way in the corner, threw down the menus, and said, “We’re sorry, we’re so slammed in the kitchen,” then walked away very quickly.
The only great thing about this place is that you get your food very quickly so as soon as you order, they literally walk back out with the food in minutes.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere was very busy. No one was overly friendly. Our waiter tried his best to be apologetic for the long wait and poor experience by giving us one free dessert, and we were thankful for that, but it wasn’t enough to erase the negative impression we already had of this restaurant. We were the only Black people in there, and I don’t know if we felt welcome to ever return.

I came here for my birthday dinner and btw they close the lights, hand you sparklers, and sing to you. I got the mix grill with the mix appetizer. The food is very filling. The mint lemonade is great. The hookah is very nice compared to the nearby places. The bathroom is very clean. There’s plenty of parking right next to the restaurant especially in this neighborhood which parking is hard to find.

Yasmeen Mediterranean Cuisine is absolutely incredible! The food is beyond delicious — the avocado salad was so fresh and flavorful, the grape leaves were amazing, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending. Every dish felt authentic and full of taste.

We had heard a lot so a group of 7 of us went for dinner Thursday night. I was impressed with the decor – pretty. Great vibe and the best of all – amazing food! Everything we ordered was delicious. It was my birthday and I think one of my friends told our attendent so when they brought the desserts, suddenly the whole restaurant blasted the birthday song and everybody clapped and took part. It was so fun.
Valet parking so it was easy.

I can’t express in a thousand words how extraordinary this restaurant is. The cuisine is beyond exceptional — truly the finest Mediterranean experience in all of New Jersey. The atmosphere feels luxurious, the service is flawless, and this was already my second visit… and certainly not the last. I will be coming back again and again.

The food was absolutely delicious and the interior was beautiful! However the service was not the best. The restaurant was empty however our waitress would never come by and took her nearly 25 minutes to come to our table. We also had to keep asking other workers to help us, who were super sweet, since our waitress went missing. Food was great, authentic middle eastern, but the service needs working on.
