Social Profile:

Ka-Prow Thai & Sushi Bistro holds deep roots to Thailand and brings a variety of authentic and health-conscious dishes to Austin like the popular Pad Thai, Spicy Chow Mein and chef specials like Ginger Tilapia and Paradise Duck. Along with stir-fry and curry dishes, we seek to apply the fast-paced nature of preparing Thai food in a range of dynamic, exciting and flavorful ways. Beyond the quick movement of Thai, we also specialize in what we think is the artful and meticulous preparation of sushi by delivering traditional rolls as well as unique ones like Apple Blossom with spicy tuna, apple, and kampyo. We prepare our dishes fresh every day, are considerate of gluten and shellfish allergies and seek organic ingredients. We look forward to

Japanese, Vietnamese & Asian staples or modern dishes cooked by a Thai chef in a strip-mall setting.

The sushi here is absolutely amazing and so fresh and flavorful. I have had many sushi in many places and this place takes the cake! The service staff were so attentive and quick with getting us what we needed. The presentation, the flavor and the atmosphere were so wonderful- I can’t wait to go back. We ordered so much from the menu, and definitely got our money’s worth.

Our must have favs are the Ka-Prow Rainbow Roll, classic spicy tuna roll and my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE the longhorn roll! Everything here is fresh, juicy (dumplings) and the sauces paired with the sushi have so much freshness and flavorful in every bite.

The scenery has dim lighting but also another section where they gave plenty of natural lighting (suitable for people who prefer dark or light) and the ambiance was so peaceful. Perfect for dates, work lunches, family dinners and celebrations!

Ka-Prow: Serving up flavor with a flying knee!!!!

If you’re looking for a lunch spot that delivers knockout flavor and lightning-fast service, Ka Prow is the undisputed champ. I’ve been here a few times with coworkers, and every visit feels like a spicy roundhouse kick to the taste buds—in the best way possible.

The food? Always fresh, vibrant, and served with speed that makes your lunch break feel like a mini vacation. Whether you’re diving into a classic Pad Thai or braving the heat of their Ka-Prow fried rice, the flavors are bold and beautifully balanced.

The staff? Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time.

And the name—Ka Prow—has a punchy charm to it. It sounds like the sound effect from a comic book fight scene, and honestly, it fits. This place doesn’t just serve food; it delivers flavor with impact.

Highly recommend for anyone in need of a quick, delicious lunch that doesn’t skimp on quality or hospitality. Ka Prow is a lunchtime legend.

Got their regular Pad Thai with chicken to go. I like that you can choose the spice level. I tried spicy 1 and it was still spicy, so next time I’ll try 0.5. I also had their sticky rice with mango, which I loved.

I have lived in Austin for 13 years and I thought I’d never find a great Thai restaurant. Boy, was I wrong. This place is by far not only the BEST Thai restaurant in Austin but it is one of the MUST HAVES, when in Austin. DO NOT let the location sway you. The staff is beyond top tier and I don’t know who the chef is but they are easily, unmatched. Beyond amazing quality of food, taste, service, and atmosphere. Can not recommend highly enough!! 20 out of 10!

Hubby and I dined at KaProw Thai & Sushi Bistro and everything was delicious! We started with the spicy bacon-wrapped scallops — so flavorful with just the right heat. The Ka Prow pork fried rice was savory and comforting, while the salmon curry was rich and creamy, served with steamed white rice and a fresh green salad. And of course, a Thai iced tea to round it all out — sweet and refreshing. Such a cozy date night spot with amazing flavors we’ll definitely come back for.

Ka-Prow is a triumph of flavor! Everything was delicious, with food that is expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The vegan options were plentiful and exciting, making it a great spot for everyone. Best of all, the spice was just right—a beautiful, balanced heat that enhances every dish. Highly recommended!

Lots of vegan options which is much appreciated! The pad kee mao is a favorite – nice and spicy when requested. Love that you can make so many dishes vegan. Staff is always nice and you can go casual or nicer to this establishment, all are welcome here.

Most importantly the food was meh and it made me sick. All I had was the chicken spring rolls. The spring rolls at Trader Joe’s are better but it’s hard to have a terrible spring roll so it tasted just ok. But I got sick within an hour of leaving and that’s all I had for a few hours. I was sick for two days. The outside of the spring rolls was greasy for some reason and the restaurant wasn’t very clean so I’m not sure how clean the kitchen was. The light fixtures had tons of dust on them, the walls were splattered with who knows what, and the tables were wiped with rags that smelled. Should have left before I ate it. But the server was really nice and the food came quickly.

Staff were really nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The food arrived quickly and it was nice to receive a complimentary salad. My pad see ew was good but it was on the salty side and didn’t have the sweetness I expect from Thai food. The salad didn’t taste very fresh but it was free. The portions were generous and I overall enjoyed my meal.
