We ordered a couple to go dinners and walked over to goodwill while we waited. Food was ready on time. Food was great, could have used a little more meat, but great flavor!! Love the decor and the hanging wheel lights.

Unfortunately, the barbecue is very underwhelming. Didn’t taste smoky, didn’t taste same day, didn’t have any flavor. In addition the portion size of barbecue was small. Great service, great front of house but will not be back for the barbecue.

I really hope this place doesn’t represent NC BBQ… the food is subpar in taste and texture- brisket is super dry- and the portions are a mountain of fries with 3 small pieces of meat- I had to make sure it wasn’t part of the kids’ menu!

If you like BBQ, don’t come to this place. I ordered a pound of chopped pork. I guess they don’t smoke their meats. No smoky flavor at all. Had a vinegar taste. This place is in a strip mall, so maybe they don’t actually have a smoker. Unfortunately, there aren’t any good BBQ places in Franklin, NC.

I have been a fan of Sonny’s sliced pork barbecue for fifty years now and i’m thrilled to find another SLICED pork barbecue restaurant available.
I loved everything I had there. Especially surprised by the coleslaw love it. Love it, love it.
I am actually planning a trip back there tomorrow.

Do NOT skip this place!!! I kept saying I wanted some Carolina BBQ before we left the state headed back home (Florida). I cannot put into words how delicious every single thing we ordered was. The smoked chicken, ribs, turkey and pulled pork….although we used sauce, it really didn’t need it. The meats were extremely moist and absolutely delicious. So glad we took a turn to this place on our way back!!!! No photos to show because we were all so engulfed with eating!! 4 of us ate a huge meal of all meats listed above with sides of Mac n cheese, okra, fries and coleslaw for only $62. All adult meals, no kid meals with leftovers to take home. Very affordable!! I also made sure to leave with a quart jar of their tangy mustard what we call Carolina BBQ sauce in FL! It’s GREAT on wings!

I’m sorry but when I go to a BBQ place that has bbq & ribs in it’s name I sorta expect some good smoked meats from the smoker out back. Their brisket sandwich seemed to have packaged, evenly formed/shaped tasteless brisket and my wife’s smoked turkey salad had uniformed turkey meat probably from packet meat with mostly a bunch of cheese and croutons plus the tea and lemonade we had meager taste at $3.25 apiece. Come on man serve some decent food and stop thinking only of profit!

I can’t say enough good things about Fat Buddies in Franklin, NC. They genuinely go above and beyond for their customers. Last night, I ordered two dinners for my wife’s birthday. When I arrived, I realized my hip injury would keep me from walking inside to pick up the food. I called the restaurant, explained the situation, and asked if they could bring the order out to my car.
Without hesitation, they did—and not only that, they were incredibly kind and accommodating about it. Their willingness to step up and help me meant more than words can express. Thanks to them, my wife’s birthday dinner was a special one to remember.
Great food, great people, and truly exceptional customer service. This is the kind of business that deserves support. Highly recommended!

I love this place. Got the Baby Back Rib Platter and BBQ pork. Meat was very tender and seasoned well. I loved the sauce on the meat. Our server was very attentive. There was music in the background and the noise level was quiet. I 100% recommend this hidden jewel. You will not be disappointed.
