I left a review almost a year ago saying this was the bestest place to eat anywhere. The food is fantastic, the service is top notch, the location is incredibly beautiful. We came back today night. It was like coming home. The food is even better than I remember, the service is still phenomenal. Issac was our waiter tonight and he just seemed to know when we needed him, when we wanted privacy. He was patient and gave the best suggestions for what drinks to pair with the food and desserts we ordered. I have literally eaten all over the world and this is one of my top 5 restaurants in the world. Highly recommend

I know it can be overwhelming choosing a restaurant on the boardwalk with so many options. I tried a few, but the one I liked the most was Bacalauh. I highly recommend this restaurant if you visit Progreso, Yucatán. The beautiful views, the customer service, and, most importantly, the quality of food – it was all outstanding!

Disappointing evening. Ordered the shrimp ceviche and it basically was a shrimp cocktail. While it tasted good the shrimp had been precooked. Not cooked in lime as a ceviche is supposed to be. The tuna carpaccio was so wet and the main flavour was the cheese grated on top. The mains sea bass, see picture was so hard and over cooked, likewise the vegetables. In edible. Steak frites arrived cold and remained cold even after a second visit to the kitchen. We asked for the cheque and left also leaving behind half a bottle of wine. Service staff were great.

Great clean fresh food! I had a dozen delicious large I would imagine Pacífic oysters and tacos Gobenador. All delicious and reasonably priced. Washed it down with a spicy slightly sweet Mescal and Grey Goose Martini. Great cool atmosphere and crowd!

Great location, awesome view, good service as well, but the food and the drinks were very lackluster. Coffee was undrinkable. We couldn’t figure out what it even tasted like. One of us got the burger and it was mid at best, plus it came with a side of fries that was about 10 french fries. Good for my waistline, but I wanted more. We would not recommend. Unless you only went for a water or a coke and just enjoyed the view. Lastly, the bathrooms were super clean.

The atmosphere was very nice. The food was adequate. The service was polite and friendly however, his math was bad he added an extra 100 pesos to the bill and then asked for a tip. Ask for an itemized bill. The waiter(Diego) did not tell us gratuity was pre-included.

Great seafood and fare along the Gulf in a beautiful atmosphere. Everything from breakfast items to fresh seafood and Mexican specialties, well presented and tasty. Service is first rate and the view is as good as it gets here.

This is one of the finest restaurants at which I have ever eaten. The food is an incredible, artisan fusion of traditional Yucatán dishes with a modern twist that taste even better than they look-as are their drinks. If you are unsure of what to order, the staff are available to make suggestions and even help you pair them with the perfect complementary drink. They are attentive but not intrusive-their goal is to ensure that no patron ever has to waive down someone for service. The proximity and view of Progreso beach is stunning and you have a beautiful view of the boardwalk and ocean from any table. This has become our “go to” spot and, when we do eat somewhere else, we always compare that restaurant to this one. This place is perfect for a casual brunch or a special anniversary- regardless of the occasion or how much/little you spend, they will do everything possible to make you feel like a VIP.

I don’t mean to criticise. When I was a student, I used to work in a bar and would have loved to work in this one; likewise sit at the counter. It’s a beautiful place.
So, if you go ( and you should) go for the drinks, the ambience, the view and the lovely staff. Order light and you’ll have a memorable time. Gracias, personal!
