I grew up in Romania and one weekend I wanted to eat some traditional food that I grew up with so I searched and found this Romanian restaurant/bakery and
I drove for an hour to get there and it was so worth it.
The food was incredible, so delicious and reminding me of my days in my home country. Also, the deserts were so tasty and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some Eastern European cuisine.

Cozy, neighborhood café & bakery whose staff (Thanks Danina, you deserve a raise!) that created a welcoming atmosphere that’s a prime example of a 3rd space! While the total experience did lean me more towards 5 stars over 4, the fact that the cappuccino was tasty without sugar deserves 5 stars alone (harder to find than ya’d think!- So I can confirm their coffee drinks are delicious (which came with a little cookie, how sweet!). The food can range in experience, but I was satisfied with the Bananas Foster French Toast & bacon, but I also tried their potatoes and it was very delicious.
Plus, it’s in a walkable, easily accessible, multi-modal area in the beautiful Hollywood Boulevard in downtown that makes it an even better experience.

I have been coming here since 2018. Anytime I am in the vicinity of South Florida, I will detour here. I drove an hour out of my way this time. You cannot go wrong with any menu item. The staff are amazing; so helpful and polite.

This was my first visit. I wanted to taste ethnic cuisine, as I never took the time to explore. I was pleasantly surprised as to my enjoyable time at Chocolada. I really liked my cod fish. I had mamaliga, and side of vegetables. The Mileu and atmosphere was quiet, restful. European Until a group of 4 boisterous diners upset my tranquility. Thankful I was finished with my dinner. The staff was concerned as they noticed the change in my expression. I reassured them, I would return. I enjoyed the restaurant. The diners were extremely rude. I made sure I left with a delicious dessert selection to be enjoyed in peace. & quiet at home. It was very chocolatey too. I couldn’t finish it. I left 1/2 of it over. I plan to return and try some other Romanian dishes. I enjoyed the staff as they attended in a professional manner outside dining and inside service. They were very pleasant too. I’m very focused on my Romanian heritage and exploring new places.

It’s very unfortunate I had such a negative experience at this restaurant. When I entered the restaurant I waited a while before a server came to my table. I ordered my food and immediately was not satisfied because my pita was wet ,soggy, and the egg was tasteless. It took forever for my server to check however I let him know my concerns right away. I told him I was ready for my check, he took my card and did not give a receipt with items marked. The manager came over with the plate of food and asked me to show him the problem. He said there was nothing wrong very rude inconsiderate and nasty no customer service. He could take 50 percent off and looked at me and said he is not doing anything. Threatened to call police for no reason. Not sure if this place welcomes people of color. It was very insulting and I had to call my bank for fraud. Shape on the guy with the glasses he is disgusting. I would never go back based on his actions. The soup was good
