It was a cloudy Tuesday morning, and I was in the mood for some tasty Mexican style cuisine! I’ve heard good things about La Fogata from my constituents, so I decided to order takeout. I ordered the beef flautas plate. I’m happy to report that it was quite delicious! 4 crispy beef flautas with Mexican rice and refried beans. While I’m happy with the food, it was a little pricey I must admit. Order was roughly $21 bucks, a tad higher than other spots I’ve ordered from.

Me and my boyfriend planned to dine in here. Upon arriving, we noticed it was very full and decided to order to go. We placed our order on doordash, that was fine. My boyfriend got the torta meal with the broiled beef. He said it was good. We also got fries. The fries were mid. I got the taco de asada and a taco de pollo. They were also mid. I would say the taco de asada was pretty bad. The meat itself had little to no seasoning, and had fat pieces in it which was repulsive. The chicken had seasoning, but they gave me big pieces with some shreds. The chicken also had fat pieces in it. I straight up bit a ball of fat. I don’t recommend the tacos at all. The rice was mid as well. The agua de jamaica was very good. Like, the best i’ve ever had. Definitely recommend that 100%.

This was my 3rd visit. I made an online order for the 1st time. That part I give four (4) stars for convenience and the food was ready at the time slot appointed for my pickup. Once I arrived there were no smiles nor “hellos”. I opened my bag and inside the carton was not my definition of a quesadilla.. but it smelled good and I was hungry so I rolled out with it. The presentation was more like a large taco barely folded over. Neither sides of the tortilla were browned. I should’ve taken a pic.. but as i said.. i was hungry. The chicken was seasoned well.. but.. ofcourse.. sparingly spread throughout the half-sized quesadilla. And I thought cheese naturally comes on it.. but here u have to pay xtra. Total = $12.+
Each time I visited.. I never received a pleasant greeting. Whoevers at the counter always look like they dont know what to say to a customer. Each time was a strike out and that was the 3rd.

Relaxed atmosphere kind waitress….food was great. Not my first or last time ordering here….whether it’s take out or dining…..They always meet our needs! Thank you so much for your loyalty in making our experience pleasantly satisfying!

I went to this place in May of 2023 I had gotten guacamole and a main dish. It didn’t turn well with my stomach and I got food poisoning. Maybe it was coincidence but I felt better after a week and then exactly two weeks after my first visit I went there again with my sister niece and mom. I got steak something completely different from the first time around then I was out for the rest of the day. I had gotten food poisoning again. My sister and the rest of the family had gotten the runs but I had it the worst of them all. Why is it so hard to be sanitary in these restaurants? Do they have inspection often because how are they still serving food? All that to say the food is okay. I just had a soup even after I told my mom not to order from there. Idk why she keeps going back but I’ll keep y’all updated to see if I get sick again and if their cleanliness has gotten better after more than a year.

Unfortunately, this place has good food but the receptionist today was terrible. She must have been upset to have to work, not really sure but because of her i withdrew my order. I wasn’t even greeted when i walked in as if i was a stranger, i have been there before many times and the other ladies are friendly. This one today was rude and just looked at me and didn’t say hi welcome can i help you, i wanted to pay for my food i ordered for pickup but i guess they didn’t want my business. Duly noted!

The music is way too loud. The server never came back after taking our order. The food was flavored but the beans taste like they were out of the can. The atmosphere esthetics was nice. It was my 1st time and I didn’t know that I had to pay my bill at the register we sat there fir a while before we figured it out

So we drove down from Michigan a couple of weeks ago to attend a concert. We stopped in for some lunch. All 3 of us agreed, best Mexican food we’ve ever had. We are seriously thinking about making the 3 hour drive again for lunch!!! Highly recommend.
