Wandered in without reservations – sat quickly with very fast service from Zola. She was so sweet and kind. Estes Park Amber Ale was delicious, as well as the Elk Burger & Fries. Drinks and food came very fast. Every employee we interacted with was lovely.

This is a fantastic place. The Homemade Saurbrauten wa so good. Brought memories of my youth with homemade German food. The waitress Elena was so kind and pleasant. Relaxed artisans not being rushed which was an extra plus. Can’t say enough of this place

Beautiful, well appointed restaurant in Estes Park that serves game meat. Elk steaks was divine so was the wild meat sampler. What make this visit special is Elena, our waitress, is so kind, warm and attentive. Five stars all around!

Gorgeous little restaurant with great food and great service. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and my boyfriend had the Alfredo pasta with chicken. Delicious food, perfect for our date night. 10/10 recommend and we will be coming here again.

Absolutely amazing! They allowed our sweet dachshund to come inside and sit in her stroller at the table. They brought her a bowl of water and cooked her a hamburger patty. Una was so sweet and went above and beyond. Definitely recommend this restaurant and the bison burger.

Service was flawless and food was fantastic. Started with the Elk Tartar and the Wild Sampler. The elk bratwurst on the sampler was killer. Finished out with the Ruby Red Trout and the Salmon. Both dishes were fresh and well portioned. All in all it was an amazing experience. Sat on the patio. Not the best view but the atmosphere from the foot traffic was great. Would recommend.

Stopped in for dinner with the kids. Ordered a local meat sampler that was delicious and quite pleasant on the taste buds.

The special was a buffalo steak with a gratin potato and asparagus. The price point made me feel like flawless execution was expected, but the steak came out med well to well (asked for med rare), there were only 4 asparagus which seemed light, and the potato was about a cup serving. $45 ish seemed quite high for what we got.

The other dishes had a similar fate. A chicken fettuccine was on the salty side, not oily which was a plus, but the chicken protein was seasoned too lightly letting the char overpower the flavor.

Also we order the steak sandwich which I expected to be shaved or sliced filet, but it was literally a filet on bread. To their credit the filet was cooked perfectly, and the custom french fries were simply a star of the dish, but the overall package would of been fully elevated if the filet was sliced or shaved.

The last item was a cheesecake with raspberry and everyone enjoyed it immensely. Very rich and smooth, with my only complaint being the graham cracker crust. For a nearly $20 slice, I would expect a fresh made crust.

The staff were all exceptional and very friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a reserved elegance that kept that small town charm.

Despite the wonderful staff, atmosphere, and location, the poor execution on the dishes left me feeling like everything was overpriced ($218 for everything and one drink, no tip) and underwhelming. I hope it was just an off day, but that was our experience.
