this place was such a great find. i randomly found it while looking for a place to eat in town while on a business trip. it happened to be right where i found parking so i decided to check it out and the fates much have decided to show me favor that night because it was such a great find. they make all their stuff with organic farm to table ingredients from local farms! nobody puts that level of care into their food these days. in a time of chemical processed slop to turn our profits for private equity this is su ch a breath of fresh air. the food was so tasty too! worth it! you can tell they care when making this food.

Delicious, simple food. Bella Napoli pizza was a treat. The atmosphere was lovely: solid views out on the town, a good mix of alternative music (some my morning jacket and modest mouse), and comfortable seating (none of that freezing cold metal chair ridiculousness). Highly recommend to all!!!

THIS IS THE BEST SPOT! Visited today after being out the WC area for school. Lena was absolutely amazing. She was bubbly and inviting, gave me updates on the menu, and made me feel at home. Being vegan AND gluten free it is incredibly hard to find good spots with good food. Not only did I get all I wanted I left feeling refreshed and renewed by the customer service I received today. The whole team was great and big shoutouts to Lena for making my day with a smile and pizza in hand Thank you! To my gluten free girlies and vegan buds this is the spot to be at!

Been here many times, the food is always amazing. Service is often very slow but they’re nice and accommodating. I used to LOVE the Caccio e Pepe but it’s no longer on the menu. The grilled cheese / tomato soup combo is always a hit it’s so unique. Cool little place with a great location and chill family vibes.

This is one of my favorite and go-to spots for both an individual meal and for catering. First, I love the freshly made meals. I’ve had several of their sandwiches from the Perky Turkey to the Couch Club, and salads like their, Food Pyramid and Anchor Cobb. All really great. It always feels homemade. Bonus tip, get the sandwiches grilled.
But the hidden gem and really amazing about The Tomato Shack is that they do catering. For our recent corporate meeting the West Chester team helped us serve over 200 guests at a couple of different locations. We ordered the Nonna’s Chicken or they Mediterranean Gyro Bar with build your own salads and they were a huge hit with our guests.
As an event organizer, I also appreciate that they have a lot of options to accomodate those with dietary needs while still making the food delicious for all. Their team is excellent to work with whether it’s Camille who handled our initial order to Jan and the catering team handling things onsite. They make sure to answer any questions so that you don’t have to worry about your order. Finally the delivery and setup was excellent. They provide everything you could need for the meal and the signage was excellent.
I can’t recommend this restaurant/catering option enough.

This place is located in the heart of downtown West Chester. It’s an order at the counter, fountain drink style food establishment, with quick service! The great twist is food us fresh, use quality ingredients, the fountain drinks are all unique, and you can taste the all those qualities in the food/drinks. The place is clean, has a roof top deck, has a good atmosphere, and priced fairly.

I have never seen a large crowd here and seating has always been available. The food is fantastic though a little pricey. The upstairs picnic rooftop is great! We’ve been a few times and we will return. Thanks for a healthier option in town.

The Tomato Shack catering with Jan is the reason we keep coming back. You can find great food other places but to find top notch service is not easy and Jan is absolutely amazing to work with. She makes sure all our needs are met and the service she brings is next level. I highly recommend using Jan with Tomato Shack for all of your catering needs! The food is great too of course 🙂

I’ve been here multiple times over the past few years and every time I’ve been happy with the food, service, and atmosphere. There are clearly labeled vegan options and the make your own pizza is super good! This visit, I had a personal pizza with vegan cheese, mushrooms, basil, and roasted tomatoes. The pizza was very good and reminded me of pizzas I’ve had while in Italy. The staff were very friendly and enjoyable to talk with. The restaurant itself is cozy with a neat vibe. Kind of a mix between a pizza place and cafe. I recently tried their tomato soup and the Atomic Veggie sandwich, both of which are great! Overall, it’s one of my favorite places in West Chester.
