I went to Panera Bread for Lunch it was very busy and they moved extreamly fast. 30 minuite meal at lunch is great. It was a great place to have lunch and use some Wifi so I could get some work done. The cashier Billi was extreamly helpful as I had not been to Panera before. I will definetly return. Very Clean, great expreience.

One of my favorite places to eat. Always friendly. Food is hot/cold delicious. I tried the warm Mediterranean salad and it was delicious. I also tried the new strawberry with poppy seeds salad and I enjoyed it too.

I always order the Mac and cheese for my kids and is good, the new signature chicken sandwich have cheese that doesn’t taste good for me so I don’t like it. The Cesar salad is good, the pizza is not the best and the broccoli cheddar soup is always a perfect option

The food at Panera Bread in Cape Girardeau is consistently great — it honestly deserves 4 stars. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the people who work here. The staff are some of the most condescending and rude employees I’ve ever dealt with. If you don’t give them step-by-step instructions on how to make your food, they’ll get it wrong and argue with you about it like it’s your fault.
There’s a real level of disgust for how the employees treat customers. It’s as if basic courtesy and respect don’t exist in this location. The overall attitude is unprofessional, unwelcoming, and downright disrespectful. Management clearly isn’t doing anything to correct it, and it shows — the environment feels hostile instead of friendly.
The food deserves 4 stars, but the service deserves to be rated in the negatives if that were possible.

I previously gave Panera of Cape Girardeau a 5 for all categories. There is now only 1 employee I have encountered there that has any ability to be customer oriented and get the job done right. I agree with the rest of these recent posts. Food okay. Service is TERRIBLE. The passive aggressive style. The argumentative mentality when they mess up an order. They COMPLETELY got my order wrong. Now get this they REFUSED to give a refund for the slop and threatened to call the police if I didnt leave once i arrived…. after telling them i would be driving 25 minutes back to get my refund. The threat of calling the cops was ABSOLUTELY UN CALLED FOR and a scare tactic to cause greater frustrations. I didnt get the supervisors name. But he was the same guy that was argumentative about the slop they made. He said his “AGM” told him he doesnt have to give a refund. This place is a joke and hopefully enough people complaining will shut them down and bring in some decent food and service. (Or hey just get rid of the problem…. the people… get some automated machines and no more bad panera) I attempted to file a complaint with the owners and will be reaching out to corporate side of things as well. We all know how that jokes goes these days…. none of them care and its all about getting that big $$$$. DONT GO HERE!

Food is good but other locations portions are way better. The soup is watered down the salads skimp on the toppings and the sandwiches barely have anything on them. Staff is very passive aggressive. Customer service jobs should be better with customers, or service. Never seen a company annoyed at getting orders.

2021 updated review. The broccoli cheese soup is very good.
The side salad has feta cheese and surprisingly kalamata olives. A very good salad.

The breakfast staff are actively try the piss people off like it’s a game to them. With Panera being a cut above the rest it’s a shame that the morning manager can’t get a handle on staff to have them treat people with dignity. Problem now is the staff are so busy messing with customers that they do even make good food anymore.

We picked up the chicken strawberry salad. Got home and found that it had no chicken. I called back to the store, and the sweet girl I talked to said that she would send me coupons to make up for their mistake. I appreciate the gesture. Great management.
