Good quality fresh sushi for a reasonable price! Love how authentic this restaurant is and the variety of dishes offered. The rolls are huge so be careful how many you order! The dragon roll and the rainbow roll are my favorite but the fried ones are really good too! The agedashi tofu is light and crispy and a definite must get. We also always get the pork tonkatsu. It’s the perfect portion size and again not heavily fried. Love the sauce and the potato salad too! There’s a good selection of Japanese beers as well. And don’t forget to leave room for dessert! The yawamochi is my favorite. It’s mochi with red bean paste in vanilla ice cream- so so good. Service is quick and plenty of parking.

Really wanted to love this place — it’s a small, local sushi spot with a loyal crowd and super friendly service. Our waitress even went out of her way to hand-make a chili for us when we asked for more spice (which was such a nice touch).
That said, the food itself fell a little flat. The dishes I tried just lacked flavor and depth — nothing particularly bad, just not very memorable. On the bright side, they do offer a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, which is great for plant-based diners. Overall, it’s a decent choice if you’re nearby, but not one I’d go out of my way for.

Amazing food. They do get very busy as more people have discovered this restaurant. So there can be a bit of a wait in the evening, just like with other popular restaurants. I have been here before and took my child this time for their birthday – absolutely loved it. The staff are wonderful too and brought her out a small cake slice and sang happy bday.

Stopped for dinner. Semi-busy had a table available for me. Probably about 60% full. Ordered a spicy tuna roll and 4 other individual pieces. Service was quick and courteous. Food took a little while but understandable given the crowd and the sushi takes time to prepare. Turned out to be super expensive, though. $36 with a lemonade and it was just me.

I visited for the first time to order take out after seeing positive reviews. Staff had some diversity so I hoped they were friendly—but I was wrong, they were very rude. I waited for 10min without being acknowledged. I politely asked a server if I can place an order to go and she gave me a look with attitude and said “you can go ask yourself”. I will not be back. It’s so painful to be treated with such disgust. Most ppl won’t get it and will try to minimize it since they don’t experience it but all I can say is bias and prejudice . I saw another woman of color come in to order and same thing, was not being acknowledged for sometime then a few white couples and families and white passing Latino families came and were pretty quickly attended to and not during periods of a lull.
After seeing ppl who look opposite of me being treated with kindness even when they themselves were rude to staff and I was not.
I paid $123 for the food. The crab and snapper rolls were tasty, the takoyaki was disappointing. Not that bias justifies any food but it was not worth it. I can tell staff worked hard and I appreciate that but I don’t appreciate racism.
The place was decently busy, not slammed and they had many moments were there was a lull. Again I cannot think of any valid reasons for this treatment unless I was being disrespectful which I was not. I was patient and polite did not deserve any of that. I wanted to give the place a try that is the only reason I stayed and spend my money. Never again. This is the first review I have ever made, I’m not the type to complain but this was not something I could ignore. If your experience has been the opposite of mine—that’s fine and I’m glad, I’m just giving my experience and never want anyone feeling or experiencing what I did regardless of your background. Thank you for reading this long post!

We visit Tucson every winter. We used to go to the location on Valencia and it was wonderful. That location closes and today we went to the one remaining on Wilmott. We were very disappointed. We ordered edamame, which was served cold. We ordered Gyoza -it was OK but the pieces were very small. I ordered vegetable tempura which promised 7 pieces. The pepper and onion was fine. There was 1/4 of a banana, one thick piece ofzucchini, which was mostly raw, green bean, and 1 tiny floret of broccoli. My husband had the butter sautéed salmon which was grossly over cooked. The mixed vegetables stir fry, which used to ne delicious at the other location, was very bland. In short, the food was not good and the portions quite small. I am a fan of small portions but these were VERY small for the price. We will be looking for a better Japanese restaurant in Tucson.

Food was good, sizeable servings. I ordered 2 sushi And got 4 lol. My companion had tempura and she thought it was great. Servers were extremely busy so they didn’t have time to be attentive. We sat at sushi bar and servers had to reach over our heads to get orders for others. I’d return for food quality.

One of my top 5 places to get sushi. Their toro is so good. I typically get sushi and haven’t really got other items and tried the beef noodles and was not impressed. It was very greasy. Service was great though.

Sachiko is one of my all time favorite sushi restaurants! Their food is reasonably priced, portions are fantastic and their food is both tasty and fresh. We’ve been here a handful of times and no matter how busy they are I’ve always received my food in a timely manner and good service. Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been a customer at Sachiko since it opened, 30 years ago. I have never had this horrible an experience until this past week with all of my family, party of 12, we had a reservation too!
This evening was EXTREMELY disappointing, THE worst service, lack of cleanliness (received dirty wet dishes, bathrooms, & more) and food experience I have ever had in Sachiko, (or any restaurant)!
Our reservation was at 6 PM and it took over an hour to get any kind of attention, starting with getting water, drink orders then to flag the waitress back for our order!
I could see there were a lot of big parties around us so we were expecting it to be a little slow, but the lack of attention was unacceptable!! Several members of our party had to get up several times just to find somebody to get us glasses of water, refills, and a waitress to take our order. If we were a loud, noisy, obnoxious table, I would understand, but we were quiet, kind, and patient!
Please, if you don’t have the staff, then you shouldn’t make that many big party reservations in your establishment, to then ignore your customers and serve substandard food in a dirty environment; since you’re so busy you can’t keep up!
In addition, for large parties, the bill should be itemized as well as indicate an automatic gratuity. We never saw the itemized bill and feel that we were overcharged, by the time the waitress returned we were too frustrated to question it (note, this evening it was an 3 hour dining disappointment, we are all fast eaters!) and wanted to get out of the restaurant!
Again, I understand they were busy as it is the holidays, winter graduation yet they need to have better communication, service, attention to cleanliness and food quality, which is usually this restaurant’s reputation.
Now that there’s more choices in the area, I doubt I’ll continue to be a customer! It was such a horrible experience our entire party was extremely disappointed and will NO longer be customers!!
