Our friends from Hawaii were visiting and they wanted to try Honey Salt out, being a James Beard nominated restaurant we were very excited. We made reservations for about 530 , we arrived on time and were greeted right away. The staff were friendly and got us seated right away. Our server came over immediately and was friendly and got us started with some drinks. She recommended the Vanilla espresso martini and it was amazing. It tasted great and was strong!!
I have to say our server was great, she was super attentive and had great suggestions.
We started with the monkey bready and the crudite. The carrots were so sweet and tasty !!
I had the burger and it was good, there were so many options I just decided to go with that. It was tasty and honestly everyone’s meal were delicious!!
The fried chicken was amazing, just not a bad bite.
Really good food, a great server and a nice atmosphere a fantastic spot worth the trip.

Honey Salt — A Promising Start Undone by Service Missteps

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)

Honey Salt began as an ideal setting for a business lunch — polished, comfortable, and seemingly attentive. Unfortunately, what started as a promising experience gradually unraveled due to fundamental service errors that should never occur in a restaurant operating at this level.

Ambiance – 4/5
The restaurant provides a refined yet approachable American dining atmosphere, well-suited for business conversations or casual lunches. The space feels thoughtfully designed, calm, and professional — exactly the environment one hopes for when meeting a business partner.

Authenticity – 3/5
Honey Salt positions itself as elevated American comfort cuisine. The menu reads well and the ingredients appear thoughtfully selected. However, authenticity in hospitality is just as important as authenticity in flavor — and that’s where the experience faltered.

Flavor – 2/5
The meal began well enough with drinks and starters, but the rhythm of service quickly collapsed. Our hot entrées were delivered while we were still eating our salads — a surprising lapse in pacing, especially during a business lunch.

When we calmly addressed the issue, the dishes were taken back, but rather than being freshly prepared, they returned lukewarm. It was evident they had been held aside rather than remade. As a result, the entrées lacked vibrancy and freshness; the flavors fell flat, and the texture suffered. We barely finished them.

A restaurant should understand that timing is not something guests need to specify — it is part of fundamental hospitality.

Service – 2/5
The bartender serving us made a genuine effort and remained courteous throughout. However, the managerial response felt dismissive, suggesting that we should have specified our desired pacing. Proper course sequencing is standard industry practice, not a special request.

For a business lunch environment, timing and execution are critical. That basic expectation was not met.

Cost – 3/5
Pricing aligns with a mid-to-upscale American restaurant. However, when execution and service do not meet standard expectations, value diminishes significantly. While I still tipped well out of respect for the effort shown by our bartender, the overall experience did not justify the cost.

Final Thoughts
Honey Salt has the framework of a strong restaurant — a polished setting, an appealing menu, and potential for a quality dining experience. Unfortunately, poor pacing and a lack of accountability overshadowed the meal.

I’m willing to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and hope for a better experience next time. But for this visit, the service missteps and compromised entrées result in a 2 out of 5 star experience at best.

Hospitality is not just about what’s on the plate — it’s about timing, care, and respect for the guest’s experience.

It’s been 2 years since I was here and noticed that they have a different menu, some old favorites still on it. I made a reservation for 4 and they did not disappoint. We arrived early but was still waiting for 2 people, was offered to be seated while waiting. The staff were friendly and didn’t rush us to order. I decided to try their persimmon margarita, tried to like it but it just wasn’t for me, too strong and not the flavor profile expected. No problem, didn’t even have to ask my server for a different drink as she watched me make a face. She said she’ll take it off the bill. My friend and I had espresso martinis that were awesome! The appetizer selections were great as well. We ordered the savory monkey bread, sticky Iberico pork ribs, crispy calamari and shrimp and grandma Rosie’s turkey meatballs. For entrees, shrimp linguini, roasted jidori chicken, Scottish salmon and buttermilk fried chicken. I took pictures of my food but didn’t want to be rude taking pictures of my friends orders. All were delicious. We had a great time and had a very positive experience.

I rarely come across restaurants that impress me so much so that I need to leave a review before I even leave the place. The quality of food and service was phenomenal.

I have been here once before many years ago for brunch and recall the same amazing food and service.

A complementary cake was also included for our celebration. Thank you so much for amazing food and thank you Ashley for amazing service. Can’t wait to come back again!!

First time here and gott asay the quality of the food was superb! Worth every penny! Plenty of kids menu options. My daughter opted for a burger and fries ( which by the way the patty size was amazing ) and the fries were crispy! Her strawberry lemonade was delicious she had 2 rounds.
For us we started with trying the Monkey Bread! It was a great choice. Moist and tasty! Came with cheese and marinara! It was one of a kind! Will definitely order it again! For our meals I ordered the Scottish Salmon dinner plate! Moist and the potato capers with bacon was top notch . The smoked steak with Chimichurri and side of fries was so tasty.
Our waiter was so nice and service was great!
Pinot Noir wine was so good had to have 2 glasses lol

I’ve always loved Honey Salt, and my recent visit in Las Vegas didn’t disappoint. The staff greeted us warmly from the moment we arrived. We started with the beet appetizer, which was vibrant and delicious. The salmon entree was excellent, and I loved the grapefruit mixed with the fingerling potatoes. Make sure to save room for dessert. You won’t want to miss the brown bag apple pie!

Overall, amazing food and service, with a friendly, attentive team that made the evening memorable. If you’re in Las Vegas, Honey Salt is a must-visit.

Quite a lovely experience!! Enjoyed after work…just made their happy hour that they call “Golden Hour”….for which we ordered a couple cocktail, but no Golden Hour fare; however, off the regular menu had the meatloaf for dinner and brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Enjoyed libations. Server, Ashley, was delightful!

Our first visit! The food was delicious! Our group tried the monkey bread start, Caesar salad, short ribs, buttermilk chicken, meatloaf, jidori chicken, and salmon. Every bite was a WOW! Atmosphere very energetic vibe – you did need to speak louder to communicate with other guests at the table. Only downside was our service – server was not using his time efficiently to wait on tables. Lots of chatter with other employees and no personality. . .which definitely is part of the guest experience. We will return and hope for a better service experience next time.

Excellent service and atmosphere. The monkey bread is a must try. The chicken curry was very good. It can be pretty loud in the restaurant and tables are pretty close to other customers. The prices are reasonable for the serving size. I would recommend this place for breakfast and dinner.

We’ve come twice to this place. It was definitely better for dinner than brunch but still recommend.

Their fried chicken is really delicious and highly recommend. Their bread is also just really great! We got their fried chicken for dinner, and had gotten their chicken sandwich.
