Great price for food… the crabs were great. We got a dozen large crabs and the special, which was a Cajun boil. The boil was underwhelming to say the least. Not well seasoned and pretty bland. The only part I liked about the boil was the large shrimp. The steamed crabs were great, just covered in old bay. We also got a side of hushpuppies that were good, but nothing special. Overall, the food was average, but good for the price.

The location of this place is a bit bizarre… wedged between the train tracks and the water. The scenery and dock are nice. The train chugging by during dinner was meh. Luckily trains went by quickly.

The service was average as well. They took a while to greet us and take our order. The food took wayyyyy too long to come out. Between the time we sat down and received our food, it had been a solid hour (I want to say food took over 45 mins to come out).

All in all, I would try this place again. I’ll take the food time as a write off since it was Father’s day. Overall thoughts? Meh. Good-ish.

Weekend lunch – fried calamari and seafood platter

What I liked:
• food didn’t disappoint
• friendly staff. Everyone was nice and happy
• right by the water. You can pull in from your boat if you have one.
• live music. One man show but he was great
• indoor and outdoor seating.
• bar outside with plenty of drink choices
• great seafood selection (fried, steamed)
• relaxed vibe
• small restroom but they have a baby changing table which is good for mommas alike
• food and drink prices are pretty average(was expecting more since it’s right on the water

Other thoughts:
• parking is just a bit of a struggle. it gets busy
• there is a bit of a smell from the garbage(shells and all but only smelled it as we were leaving)

All in all would recommend and definitely going back.

Been coming at this restaurant ever since I move in VA. My parents always take me here for crabs. It’s a good place to eat and drink with your friends and family. They also have their own dock to park boats. Service is good but the only thing I notice is every time I come back at this restaurant it feels like they need a major deep cleaning inside and outside the restaurant. But other than that the food and ambiance is great.

I almost don’t want to rate this place too high because some of the charm was that it was only about half 1/2 full. If this place was up by me (Arlington) it would be packed.

Wonderful staff, just so nice. Awesome meal and very adorable. Real quality seafood, not fried trash. I’m a big of a healthy eater and I was VERY happy with the offerings. Just a great quiet place to have a meal. I’ll be back.

The food and drinks were great. It’s an amazing little place to grab some drinks and gorge on great seafood. Not a cheap place to eat at but totally worth. They offer unlimited crabs when they’re in season!

This will be my last visit for food.

Facts about our visit:
1. We had a party of 6. One vehicle.
2. Ordered cheeseburger w/ fries (~$15), 3 broiled dinner platters (~$24/ea), crab cakes (~$18) and kids grilled cheese (~$5)

Experience:
The worst part of this experience was the food and the service. I was really disappointed in the crab cake. It looked delicious, but had quite a bit of shell in it. The food was really salty. The grill cheese was super dry and even a little burnt. It took about 20 minutes to just order at get our drinks. The food took 40 minutes. The server was generally nice though. Parking is terrible, but we all know that already. Someone’s car got hit in the lot while I was there.

Recommendations:
Go with friends for drinks. Take your boat. They have live music and a beautiful ambiance. Don’t go with family expecting good service and quality food.

Tim’s is always a great time. Good food, large portions and fun entertainment. My fried shrimp were a little bit over cooked but the strawberry short cake drink is to die for. Go for the atmosphere and the all you can eat crabs for 25 bucks and enjoy water and music.

This is the definition of a hidden gem. This restaurant is an amazing crab shack right on the river that you access via boat or dirt road. Once you’re there, they have riverside seating under umbrellas, indoor seating, live music outdoors, an expansive drink menu, and a great atmosphere for seafood. Speaking of which, the food here is really good! It’s a bit salty, but hey, it’s fried seafood. We tried a bunch of things, and it was all good. The staff are friendly, but they are thin staffed sure to the pandemic, so things take a minute. Patience is key. The other thing is that this location is closing. There are other Tim’s restaurants to check out, but I recommend hitting this one soon.

Dre our server was spot on. We enjoyed crab balls and hush puppies for apps. Then we had crab cake and rock fish sandwiches with a salad for our main. It was good. Thanks for a great lunch.
