Reviews
The location of this place is a bit bizarre… wedged between the train tracks and the water. The scenery and dock are nice. The train chugging by during dinner was meh. Luckily trains went by quickly.
The service was average as well. They took a while to greet us and take our order. The food took wayyyyy too long to come out. Between the time we sat down and received our food, it had been a solid hour (I want to say food took over 45 mins to come out).
All in all, I would try this place again. I’ll take the food time as a write off since it was Father’s day. Overall thoughts? Meh. Good-ish.
What I liked:
• food didn’t disappoint
• friendly staff. Everyone was nice and happy
• right by the water. You can pull in from your boat if you have one.
• live music. One man show but he was great
• indoor and outdoor seating.
• bar outside with plenty of drink choices
• great seafood selection (fried, steamed)
• relaxed vibe
• small restroom but they have a baby changing table which is good for mommas alike
• food and drink prices are pretty average(was expecting more since it’s right on the water
Other thoughts:
• parking is just a bit of a struggle. it gets busy
• there is a bit of a smell from the garbage(shells and all but only smelled it as we were leaving)
All in all would recommend and definitely going back.
Wonderful staff, just so nice. Awesome meal and very adorable. Real quality seafood, not fried trash. I’m a big of a healthy eater and I was VERY happy with the offerings. Just a great quiet place to have a meal. I’ll be back.
Facts about our visit:
1. We had a party of 6. One vehicle.
2. Ordered cheeseburger w/ fries (~$15), 3 broiled dinner platters (~$24/ea), crab cakes (~$18) and kids grilled cheese (~$5)
Experience:
The worst part of this experience was the food and the service. I was really disappointed in the crab cake. It looked delicious, but had quite a bit of shell in it. The food was really salty. The grill cheese was super dry and even a little burnt. It took about 20 minutes to just order at get our drinks. The food took 40 minutes. The server was generally nice though. Parking is terrible, but we all know that already. Someone’s car got hit in the lot while I was there.
Recommendations:
Go with friends for drinks. Take your boat. They have live music and a beautiful ambiance. Don’t go with family expecting good service and quality food.
