Went in Christmas morning. We were the only people in the restaurant. We overheard that they have not been very busy recently… Kind of got nervous. Until the food arrived.
Wife got banana foster waffle. I’ve never had a waffle actually melt in my mouth before. The flavor and texture profiles were unlike any other waffles I have had in this area.
I got the buttery biscuits and gravy. Biscuit was cooked perfectly. First bite can instantly tell this isn’t some pre made biscuits.
The flavor of the gravy having beer brat instead of traditional sausage was very unique. If you like beer brats….. This is your dish. The scrambled eggs were perfect. To top it off, crispy hash browns.
If your looking for a hidden gem of a breakfast/ brunch spot… Check them out.

Megan P was amazing! Fixed the tiny issues we had! She was so sweet and helpful! We did restaurant week and the brunch burger and burrito were awesome.

Anchor and port was excellent. Ben was our bartender and he made my best friend’s wedding excellent. Major shoutout to Ben and Ashley (she is the best and knows how to lead a party). Thank you anchor and port and Marriott for the excellent night and individualized service and for making this a meaningful personalized service that the bride and groom will remember forever.

Gabe was our waiter. What a delicious dinner he brought us. He was a very personable young man and suggested a couple of different menu items which were superb. It was delicious! We chatted with him when he came back and forth to our table and he was a delight! The food was most excellent (kudos to the chef) and we had a thoroughly wonderful meal and experience! We will definitely be back when in the area!

Beautiful area with the most accommodating, kind service staff with amazing recommendations. We went for Valentines day and Stephanie made it even more special. The food was well balanced and the Bloody Mary was to die for. Amazing prices. I will be back for sure. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Drop anchor at Oshkosh’s newest flavor port- you won’t be disappointed. My husband and I have been coming to Oshkosh for the better part of the last two years and although we were satisfied (at best) with the food at Ground Round, we were blown away by Anchor and Port. Let me just put in a disclaimer that Ground Round was an okay restaurant for us but it lacked culinary flavor and although Anchor and Port may be new to some guests staying at the hotel, I feel like this is exactly what makes this restaurant stand out from others on the block. When you walk in, you can’t help but be blown away by the upgrade in infrastructure; the whole entire space feels so much bigger, more brighter and more welcoming. My favorite part was that there was a bit of Wisconsin incorporated into the space- it made it feel more homey. The first thing I noticed was the versatility of the seating- there are booths for families but also tables facing the water that is more intimate for two. This place offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and from my own experience, it tastes fresh like it was made on the spot. I can taste a frozen store bought patty from a mile away but you won’t find that here. For lunch my husband and I had the griddle smash burger- I’ve never had a Worcester aioli but if you love Worcester sauce, you’re going to absolutely love this! The juiciness of the burger along with the caramelized onions is unmatched- you can ask to have the caramelized onions removed but trust me you’d be missing out. For dinner we tried the Atlantic salmon and beef stroganoff- I didn’t even get to take a picture of it because we were locked in on the smell as soon it arrived. I’ve had different variations of beef stroganoff but this one just had a flavor that made me savor every bite. Decent size and presentation, it was cooked to perfection. My husband said the Atlantic salmon was really good- the key to a good salmon is not drying it out in the process of cooking and this was definitely not dried out. The balsamic glaze sealed the deal in terms of taste. For my husband who loves his breakfast meal, he loved the omelette. I devoured the bagel and lox and highly recommend it. I asked to have the capers removed but otherwise it was delicious. The only complaint I have about this place is that I wish they served cappuccinos because otherwise I have to go down the street to another establishment. If we had a cappuccino machine on sight, I’d really have no reason to leave the hotel for dining purposes! The staff was really nice, our server Riley was so attentive, kind and just happy being at work. It’s hard to find staff that genuinely enjoys being at work and that makes people feel happy to be there! Thank you Riley for being a great server! Overall highly recommend you check it out for yourself- you won’t regret it!

We met the kindest, most friendly server, Gabe, who recommended what to try. We ordered what he suggested, short rib stroganoff, and I gave no words to describe how delicious it was. I ate the whole thing! And I never do that. If you’re lucky enough to get Gabe as your server as well, you’re in for a super evening of fun and enjoyment.

Really nice location with great views of the water. Reasonably-priced food that is of good quality for the price. There were only four tables when I dined there, and the server gave all of her attention to one table…never came back for a second drink order or to see how our meals were. Probably won’t go back.

We ate outside and called to make sure they were dog friendly. I was surprised they did not have a water bowl but we brought one from the car.
The service was great and the remodel is fantastic.
We got the happy hour special. The pool f fashioned was not very good and you could barely taste the bourbon. We did not order more.
The pizza crust is really good! The toppings were very skimpy and the sauce was just okay. I think need to at least add more topics to make it better.
I have hopes they can tweak their menu to get people raving about the place. The outdoor seating should not be wasted because it could once again be special.

We visited the A&P during restaurant week with quite high hopes given how much we liked the Ground Round. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed in a few ways.
The positives were tha the presentation of the food was nice, and the initial delivery of food was reasonably quick. Sadly that was it.
Our soup was cold, main dishes were lukewarm, and the dessert was very slow in coming. The beef tips had rich flavor, but definitely lacked in beef. Too many onion and mushrooms. Tiramisu gave the feeling of store bought. Not anything special.
Our server was clearly overwhelmed and they seemed to be missing staff. Our bill even got mixed up with another group!
The absolutely poor open concept meant that you can see, and hear, everything from the front door to the tables near the river. It was unbelievably loud and echoey to the point that conversations were nigh impossible. The entire impression is cheap, cold, impersonal, and uninviting. A 180° decline from the prior establishment.
Our overall impression of the remodel is a huge swing and a miss. We could not be much more disappointed in the restaurant. Given our experience we will be quite unlikely to try again. Overhearing the neighboring tables describe similar issues plus more with dirty/poorly cleaned and inspected rooms it feels like the entire property took a huge decline in quality from when it was a Best Western Premiere.
Buyer beware.
