At our Charlotte, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

First time visiting & having Captain D’s. Placed the order online & was told to pull i to the parking lot for it to be brought out. You get a nice amount of food for the price you pay. The butterfly shrimp were delicious! The garlic butter popcorn shrimp were cool with a nice flavor. I wasn’t a huge fan of the fish. It was too tough, too much breading. The mac & cheese is generic. My husband liked his loaded baked potato & I loved the jalapeño bombers! So good…we’ll be back to try other things.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got food here. Enough that I went back a few times. The only problem is it is not very consistent. I’ve ordered the same meal here 3 or 4 times now, and I don’t think I ever got the same thing twice.

Ok, wow! This placed exceeded expectations. When I got there only the drive thru was open and there were about 5 cars ahead of me. After the second car I could hear the guy in the speaker saying the system was down and couldn’t take orders for ten minutes. Me and a few other cars waited. Once it was up and working we put out orders in and the line started flowing again. I got the Fish Sandwich and Fried Okra with a Sweet Tea. I must say, even with the wait this is still one of THE BEST FISH SANDWICHES IVER EVER HAD! The entire meal was hot and fresh and the okra and fish were crispy! This tartar sauce is something special. Great meal served by smiling staff!
