I nit picked and meticulously chose food that would be vegetarian for the person meeting me, and pork free for me. So I ordered nachos with chicken on the side
ON THE MENU it doesn’t show ‘PORK IN BEANS’!!!! I have a ‘HIGH’ intolerance to pork, and a VEGETARIAN was going to be eating this dish with me for both of our 1ST TIME EVER at this bar!!!!
I found pork in my meal!!!!! Uncooked bacon ! … I can NOT eat pork!!!!
And all the waitress said was “oops” , “how sick can you get”? I said vilantly sick if I consume it…
They said “we will make you s new 1” … and that was it! No “that was EXTREMELY horrible on our part” or “let us make it up to you”! Nothing!!!
Blue Heron management! You need to address your menu IMMEDIATELY informing people what you have pork in! Having it in your beans, UNDER COOKED and not listed on the menu is trickery!!!!! And I feel very betrayed! Violated!!!

Very nice cozy place. Met for a business lunch. Sat at bar and had a walleye sandwich and some thick tasty french fries . Wallye was deep fried with no option for grilled or pan fry. Would’ve given 5 stars if I could’ve got it grilled. Will ho back again!

We’ve come here a few times now and the food is always good and we’ve always had good service. They have a really nice, big patio if the weather is decent. They have super good burgers and wraps! We also like the pickle flatbread pizza. I highly recommend getting tater tots as your side and getting the seasoned sour cream to dip them in! My only complaint is that some items on the menu seem a little overpriced. Other than that, this is a really great place to catch up with family and friends for dinner & drinks.

We visited the Blue Heron during happy hour and had the best service from Brandon M! I suggest making a reservation if going during dinner time. We did not have one, but were still sat promptly and had a wonderful experience thanks to a great server.

This easily could have been a 5 star experience, but it wasn’t. I arrived to pick up my to-go order 4 minutes early, and stood alone, prominently next to the ‘wait to be seated’ sign in the lobby for 11 minutes. I was ignored as no fewer than 5 staff pretended not to see me, as they walked past me, back and forth. When I was finally able to get the attention of one of them, a very pleasant young man promptly brought out my sandwich and tots. I went straight to my car, opened the box, and was extremely disappointed to find cold tots and club sandwich with room temperature mayo and deli meat. They made me feel like an inconvenience, then served me food that was honestly unpleasant to eat. I don’t believe I’ll waste my time nor money at an establishment with so little regard for paying customers.

This place is such a wonderful part of our community! The food here never disappoints! Our favorite are their steak and/or chicken fajitas. But recently, I tried their new menu item, the Bourbon grilled salmon. I forgot to take pictures of my entree while at the restaurant so I am providing my leftovers pictures. Which I added my own sautéed baby cauliflower. Their cilantro lime rice is always a hit and the curried carrots were so delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly! Oh and make sure you get extra bourbon glaze sauce.

Lunch on the patio with another couple and the food was MUCH better! We tried the New Orleans pasta dish, Wrangler Flat Bread w/GF Crust, Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap w/Coleslaw, and the Chicken Fajitas w/lettuce cups in lieu of wraps. All the food was tasty – and the gluten free crust was surprisingly good (GF items are hit or miss) – the only thing we noticed was the low ratio of chicken to onions and peppers for the Fajita, it couldn’t have been even 1/2 of a chicken breast from the looks. But the presentation for everything was excellent, the patio tables and chairs were clean and shaded, and the staff was friendly.
3-31-21: Met with family for a Sunday brunch, very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food and prices were good, they lose a star because the mini cinnamon rolls were undercooked on the bottom (think raw dough), and the eggs were all overdone. Over easy and up were more like medium yolks and all had a crunchy bottom – unexpected. We had a nice variety of food – chicken fried steak, tex mex skillet, biscuits and gravy, and a combo. The gravy was excellent!
