As all the other reviews state, this place is something special. I guess in the world of Guy Fieri and “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives” this would identify as a “Dive” but only in the most amazing way. Great food, great margaritas, and even better service. Yes the chicken tamale was amazing, as was the green chili stew, the pizza, the chocolate mouse cake, tiramisu and chocolate covered cheesecake, but to me, the Frito Pie was the most amazing taste of them all! ️ OMG the red chili was pure perfection – spicy but in the most enjoyable way, smoky, a little fruity and just perfectly balanced. Mix in the ground beef and pinto beans, pour over frito chips and top with cheese, crisp, refreshing lettuce and sweet tomatoes and every bite was just better than the last!
If you visit, and honestly you MUST, please understand it is a small place and because it is so great, it fills up fast. Waits can be in excess of 45 mins, but you can visit the bar and there is plenty of patio seating to take your drink, enjoy the weather, and strike up a conversation with those around you. And listen to the servers, bartenders and staff as their recommendations are spot on. It is clear they love their jobs and excel in customer service!

Fun and unique for sure!
The staff were all very nice, efficient and yet laid-back.
My partner tried to branch out and try a different soup (red sauce broth) than the usually green Chile stew order, but it was disappointing. It literally had 3 pieces of hominy and one piece of pork and the rest was broth. The server was quick to replace it with the favored stew. The stew broth was dynamite.
My tortilla soup was unique, but spicy and delicious. It was thick and with tortilla mash in the broth and no meat.
The decor is raw and authentic and fun. It definitely has it’s own vibe and lots of unusual offerings in the market.
If anything, I suggest to stop in just to check it out. Definitely a worthy stop.

What a fantastic discovery on our way to Santa Fe! Everything from the food to the atmosphere was amazing. Tucked off the side of the road this little unassuming place boasts a restaurant, bar, and market. The service was great and we loved the food recommendations. Would definitely visit again!

Meh. We are from Chicago which has tons of authentic Latin food options. I don’t know if that’s why or if it’s the altitude, but so far the food in New Mexico (Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Carlsbad) so far as been subpar. The best food so far this vacation was at a dive in El Paso. Tesuque was highly recommended and the atmosphere is cool. But the two things we got were just ok, despite their pretty appearance. Come for the atmosphere. And ask the wait staff for help.

Just fell on this place while traveling through. Food is great, the store has at least 50 varieties of tequila and mezcal. Has a full bar. Staff was friendly, and everyone there was having a great time.

The food was amazing, except the pizza it was okay, not the worst but not the best, they have a green chili cheese bread that is very tasty, and their key lime pie is delicious, chili relleno was amazing love there red chili. Staff was friendly, the lady at the back in the market took good care of me, I didn’t catch her name, but cute with a pony tail and hoop earrings, Thank You. Although if you dine alone its a little awkward to get a seat, the bar was full, and I ended up ordering togo. Expect a kick if you aren’t used to eating spicy food. Not too much but its there.

Ordered a “fresh” guacamole. Came as about 1/2 cup of guacamole. With mostly burnt chips. For $15. Asked the server if i could get chips not burnt. They replied the cook makes them in the morning and they sit there for the day and you get whatever they make. We decided to walk away and go elsewhere.

I stop into Tesuque Village Market several times a week, and it’s consistently one of the best spots in Santa Fe. The food is always great, the service is warm and attentive, and the overall vibe just feels welcoming every time I walk in.
I also recently had a stressful situation involving a dog, and the staff handled it with so much calm, professionalism, and kindness. They made sure everything was under control without making a big scene, and it honestly made me appreciate them even more.
Tesuque Village Market is one of those rare places that truly takes care of its customers. Highly recommend.

I’m so happy to have stumbled upon Tesuque Village Market! I was trying to avoid the Santa Fe tourist trap restaurants when I found this place on the map. The food was AMAZING, and the Bloody Maria was one of the best I’ve ever had. I absolutely loved the vibe and the store had a really good selection of liquor. I also purchased an adorable apron from a local artist before leaving. I can’t wait to go back! Please visit if you happen to be in the area!

We are traveling through SantaFe and stopped Tesuque Village Market. We have been here before a couple years back. They have gotten rid of their large out door area to add parking.
This is an interesting spot with a ton of history. This originated as a village market that has now morphed into a restaurant, bar and bakery.
Worth a stop just to see the interesting decor and setting that still has a market inside. This is a super cool atmosphere that takes on the old world design of a 100 year old market inside a traditional setting
The food and salsa’s is very good. Well played and presented very nicely. But,a bit over priced in our opinion.
Tesuque seems to take advantage of its heritage and now charges prices a bit above their level of service and food to the tourists coming from the Four Seasons up the road. I guess they can!
We enjoyed it. But likely won’t go back any longer. Just seems to have gone from a local country market/restaurant that was quaint and traditional (with decent prices) to a restaurant fighting above its weight class with high priced food and drinks.
I would rather find the more traditional location that wins on all levels of food and price. Plenty of those around Santa Fe.
But we would still recommend people to stop here. It is very much worth a visit.
