Beyond the superb sips, their fish tacos are absolutely legendary. Each taco is a masterpiece, featuring perfectly cooked, flaky white fish (often grilled or lightly battered) nestled in warm tortillas, topped with crisp cabbage slaw, a zesty crema, and fresh pico de gallo. They strike an exquisite balance of textures and flavors – fresh, bright, and utterly addictive. And if you’re looking for an even better deal, their happy hour appetizers are an absolute steal. From loaded nachos to crispy taquitos or savory esquites, the selection is generous and the prices incredibly friendly, making it easy to indulge without breaking the bank. [REFORMA MODERN]consistently delivers on quality, flavor, and value, cementing its status as a must-visit for Mexican food enthusiasts. Definitely recommend
We had a large family dinner with about 18 people we called at 5pm, to see if they could accommodate are family. And without hesitation they had tables ready and waiting in 15 minutes.
The whole family had a great time and the food was amazing!
We all were really impressed with the food and drinks
And the staff was amazing, from the people who sat us to the waitresses the gentleman who brought our food the people who made the food people who made the drinks it was just a really really great experience and I want them to know how much we appreciate everything they did for us tonight.
We sat on the porch and the staff did a fantastic job accommodating our large party right at opening. Service was excellent with quick refills and attentive care. Even with the summer heat, the fans and misters kept it super comfortable, and parking was easy around back despite the busy St. Philip’s Plaza farmers market (which was fun to browse after).
Delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere—I’ll definitely be back again and again!
The Good: Service was fine, attentive, pleasant waitress. Atmosphere is top notch based on location sitting on the patio and being able to enjoy the entertainment on stage.
The Bad: We ordered the Chicken Tinga Flautas and the Guacamole Trio. The Chicken Tinga Flautas had zero flavor. They were dark brown, overcooked from whatever package they came in. These were not fresh at all and you couldn’t taste any of the sparse “filling”. The salsa they came with was good though.
Now to the worse Guacamole I’ve ever tasted in a Mexican Restaurant in Tucson. All three Guacamole bowls tasted the exact same except for the one that had a few mixed in pieces of pineapple and mango. The texture was like the horrible Guacamole you can buy at the grocery store that looks like green mush. We were at REFORMA at 5:00pm and I asked the waitress if they make it fresh. She said they make it in the morning. Seriously! For $18, you can’t make the guacamole fresh when someone orders it? That stuff was probably 10 hours old. This is a real MEXICAN restaurant, not Taco Bell! I’m hoping the other menu items are much better. But 0 for 2 dishes and we won’t risk it. When I spoke to the waitress, she was kind and offered to make amends but we were ready to leave and honestly were shell shocked how bad both dishes were. I honestly want to see restaurants be successful, but these two items should be a simple staple they have perfected. Here’s to hoping the snowbirds keep you in business who have no idea what good Mexican food taste like.
The atmosphere is nice, comfortable, and the service is excellent. Everyone at our table liked the chips, but none of the three salsas we tried were particularly memorable. The guacamole was excellent, though.
Opinions of our entrees varied a bit, too, with most coming in the 4 to 4.5 star range. My selection, though, the “Torta Reforma” was off-the-charts good — truly inspired culinary creativity. I can’t gush sufficiently about this dish, and memories of it while writing this review from over 1500 miles away are still mouth-watering.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience dining at Reforma, and I recommend it. Give it a try!
The atmosphere is energetic with lovely music and splashes of color throughout the restaurant inside and on the patio area. It’s still hot weather and I was grateful for the misters to help keep us cool.
