We went through the drive through for two simple beverages and paid cash. We were the only ones in the entire line and there were no cars in the stalls. It still took us 15 minutes to get our drinks and we watched the two employees inside standing and talking after we’d already paid and they still hadn’t given us our drinks. I asked for extra ice and there was barely any ice in my drink. Then we had to literally knock on the drive through window to even get their attention to give us the drinks they had made that we could see just sitting there.

I hate when Googlers only leave reviews when they’ve had a bad experience, but I can’t be silent anymore about this place. Starting with the obvious, why do I still patronize here if I’ve had such consistently bad experiences over the last 3+ years? Well, my husband insists. He’s a fan of a couple of menu items so I need to give him his turn every once in a while. Knowing that, my issues fall primarily into two categories – availability and attention to detail.
1) Availability: My favorite Sonic item is the corndog. If I order from the Longmont location in the Sonic app, I can get a corn dog but only for pick up. Switch to delivery and it disappears from the menu.
If I order via DoorDash, the corn dog shows nowhere. It’s not available at all.
2) Attention to detail: Approximately 50% of the time, items are missing from our delivery order. Often it’s ice cream but not always.
3) As a post-note, my husband – usually the one who is behind Sonic still getting our business periodically – just walked over to me and complained that his foot long hot dog didn’t seem cooked all the way. He specifically described it as, “lukewarm meat jell-o”. So I guess consistency of food quality is also an issue.
All of these things are EASY to fix. I hope ownership / management takes this feedback in the constructive manner it’s attended and fixes these things so we can continue to patronize.
UPDATE: Is your response serious? I took the time to write a detailed and thoughtful (and not angry) description of the issues here and you said I should feel free to do it over again with another party. That is a less customer-aware response than no response at all would have been. AND now you’ve created an indignant and offended now-former customer where I wasn’t one before.

The only place in town that had hot dogs on the menu and still open at 10pm!
The buns were gooey and the fries didn’t taste as good when they started to cool off. But handy for a late night snack drive by.

My son loves the double cheeseburger, cheese sticks. Also probably the only fast food place I know of that gets your drink right every time, and they dont taste funny like they can at McDonald’s or other similar fast food chains.

For the last several, maybe 5, trips to the Longmont Sonic I have received poor quality food. Brkfst burrito not really rolled up; falls apart when removed from the wrapper and the Tots are served the same color they come out of the bag- yellow. Undercooked. Gross.

The quality of food did not match up to the Sonic name. The staff were mostly friendly and the food came relatively fast. It was cold and the taste was off. The shake was almost water. The chicken seemed cooked a day ago. There were no real positive flavors unfortunately. We won’t be back at Sonic again, which is a shame because we’ve looked it in the past. 🙁

I’ve gone a few times to this Sonic location and it is severely lacking. I am guessing they can’t keep employees there, because service is very slow each time I have gone. I think there’s maybe 3 people at a time working multiple jobs.
Today I went and got a footlong chili cheese coney. There was BARELY any chili or cheese on it! Like come on. Definitely won’t be going back to this location if I can help it.

I very surprised that after almost 20 years that this place still is in business. From the time that I was in high school, the service has always sub par. The wait times are excessive and food mostly ok. Not abnormal to have an incorrect order. We had to push the red button twice to get someone to take our order. My foot long coney only had enough topping for a regular. The best part was the guy that brought out the order. I would go here more than once a year if sonic could stream line thier customer experience

Ordered a cherry lime aide and didn’t taste any cherry flavoring. There is not 4 pumps of flavoring in this, maybe one.
