John and Duane became deeply involved with the neighborhood they call home. They began supporting local athletic teams and helping with high school fundraisers, among many other community outreach initiatives. In fact, there probably hasn’t been a graduate from Heights who hasn’t had our spaghetti! Today, I am proud to continue my dad’s tradition. I’m proud to stay true to the original Tasty Pizza. Awesome place! VERY reasonably priced, drinks included. Not sure why we didn’t come here the first few years we lived here. We’ve gotten to know a lot of the staff (Sarah, Medina, Cliff, I’m probably missing a couple…) and they are all great!! Has a small town, community vibe once you get to know a few folks 🙂 Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but very nice and welcoming atmosphere inside! We usually sit down on the Hangar 45 side for a few drinks at the bar and occasionally some food. The Firecracker Lettuce Wraps are bomb!! As a bonus the recipe was created in-house & contains no red meat, no gluten, no dairy, no refined sugar, no nightshades & brown rice only. Pizza is also fantastic! Definitely worth a visit or even just food delivery if you haven’t checked them out yet.

It is a popular and fun place in Columbia Heights, MN. Great food, service, and overall enjoyable place to eat.
We ordered cheese curds and cheese bread with meat sauce as appetizers… which were delicious. We also ordered the Hawaiian, taco, and cheese pizza. All 3 were fantastic.
If you’re in the area, this place is definitely worth trying!

I sincerely hope this place never closes. By far the BEST pizza in MN. My dad used to take us here all the time growing up, he was good friends with the owner. Since my dad has passed, it’s kept one of his memories alive. Going to this place brings my whole family so much joy. It’s absolutely amazing! The taco pizza, and my fav tastys highlight. Ahhhh just the best best. Every thing they have is amazing.

Hometown favorite. I’ve been eating pizza here for years. Tried a gluten-free crust for the first time. I was actually pretty impressed, a bit crispy on the edges and slightly chewier than the familiar Tasty pizza crust. I could not tell it was gluten-free at all. One of the owners, Joe, offered the Pizza free, if I didn’t like it. I did not take him up on the offer. I enjoyed the pizza very much.

My absolute favorite thin crust pizza place. My dad has taken me here since I was born because he grew up going here. It has never ever disappointed and I’m writing this the next morning wanting to come back and have more. Easily one of the best pizza places in the country. Love this Restaurant/Bar! It’s a staple of Columbia Heights! Grew up in Heights and always back for Tasty’s! Used to come here with my dad back in the day and watch black and white quarter tvs! There pizza, drinks and other menu is delicious! Great quick service from Brandi last night as well as Melea is a rockstar who helps us often as well. Marcy on pull tabs is always a pleasure also!! They also have specials, live music, bingo and trivia!! Karaoke!!

I’ve called and order twice in 2 days. When I called today the guy on the phone was rude. I asked if he could make sure I had extra cheese on my pizza as when I ordered yesterday there was not. There was no extra cheese ( yes I paid for extra cheese both days) and the onions were burned that were at the top of the pizza and the crust was a over done. We’ve been ordering here for a couple of years now, but I think we have to move on. I’m sad as I love your food. Delivery guy is always awesome!!

We really enjoyed the experience. We weren’t sure pulling in but once in the door it had a good old hometown feel. Super friendly staff. The wings weren’t as good as we hoped. Our small pepperoni was awesome. Good beer selection.
