Absolutely love this place. Muddy Waters Cafe has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the waterfront view makes it even more special. The coffee is excellent, rich and smooth, and the food is always fresh and delicious with generous portions. It’s a perfect spot for breakfast or lunch.
The staff are friendly and relaxed, which really adds to the experience, and sitting outside by the water on a nice day is a huge bonus. Whether you’re meeting friends or just enjoying a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend, truly a 5-star spot in New London.

What a gem of a cafe! It’s so bright and beautiful, with a lovely view of the ferry and train station. And the staff are absolutely the loveliest! We tried the croissant omelet and grilled cheese, along with some coffee, and everything was delicious. The pricing felt reasonable, especially compared to metropolitan cities, though it might be a tad high for locals. We visited on a Saturday morning, which made parking easy – that could be more challenging on a busy weekday. Good to know it was the only spot open at 9:30 AM that day, as most places seemed to open around 11 AM! Bon appétit and keep giggling! ☕️

Super close to the Amtrak station! They offer many types of hot and cold drinks. The breakfast and lunch menu have many different healthy options. I will definitely visit again. This place does get busy so please be kind to the staff.

Muddy waters has always been great but there sun room in the back is second to none. The atmosphere is beyond relaxing and elevated. We love love love the place! Also go for a cappuccino have it for here in a mug. You won’t regret it!

Lovely coffee house with great breakfast and lunch options in downtown New London. I grabbed the Herb Roasted Chicken Sandwich for lunch and it came with Roasted Red Peppers, Baby Spinach, Provolone, and Basil Pesto. It was great and hit the spot!

Muddy Waters Cafe is one of my favorite places to visit when I’m New London. Love the vibe and the food. The staff is friendly and fun. Plenty of space to gather with friends or pound out a little work remotely. Great vegetarian options and tasty baked goods for my sweet tooth. If you are in the area, you definitely want to stop by.

Loveeee coming here. Only been here three times and I can tell you the food is amazing every single time I normally order the same thing for breakfast a bacon, egg and cheese bagel with cream cheese on and everything bagel. I will be stopping back again next time to try lunch.
