South House Garden is a whole vibe The seating is very nice, there are swings and other lawn themed or patio style seating and plenty of floral arrangements perfect for Instagram postings. The music was nice, service was great and the food was amazing! I would definitely visit again and would highly recommend to others. The owner stopped by our table and mentioned they will be opening other branches in the area soon. Look forward to it!

Went here expecting an average restaurant and ended up blown away. Prices were very fair for portions and the vibe inside was incredible, including a nice view onto the train tracks. Catfish was flavorful and cooked properly. Mac and cheese had a beautiful presentation and an even better flavor. All staff was accommodating and well dressed. 11/10 will come again.

Food was absolutely delicious from order to table no more than 10 minutes. Worth the 30 minute drive and the aesthetics and atmosphere is awesome. We got the fish and grits , chicken and waffles , and peach cobbler waffles 10/10 .

We came because we heard great things. Not disappointed, just feel like it’s pretty standard.
The best thing was the drink, I had the margarita and it was great, not watered down at all. 10/10.
The food itself wasn’t bad, but I felt like it’s what I make myself on Sunday morning. The waffles were okay. The syrup was not maple. You get the point. You can make it in your kitchen more than likely.
The shirmp deviled eggs were good, but still had the tails attached so you cannot just eat them.
The music also started off really soft and mellow but then suddenly got loud, felt more like a lounge or a club atmosphere than a restaurant at that point.
Overall, not upset I stopped by but won’t be in a rush to go back if ever.

I had difficulty rating South House Garden. The food I had was pretty good (though the bacon was dry as anything). However, the menu is extremely limited. Check out the menu prior to coming and make sure you like whatever dishes are on it because that’s all they have.
I asked for a side of toast and they literally said they “don’t have bread”.
Still, what’s on the menu is pretty creative and tasty (for the most part).
The service was pretty abysmal. Menus via QR code only. No refills on beverages ever offered. The food came out piecemeal with pretty big gaps between. This meant that some of us were finishing our plate before another person at our table received anything to eat.
The atmosphere was hard for me to rate as well. The decor is adorable. The atmosphere is lively- this is clearly meant to be a spot for celebratory, boozy brunches.
However, it was also so incredibly loud that we had to shout to be heard.
I don’t enjoy that.
These are things I’d keep in mind for future visits (if I return).

Beautiful decor and good service! The bathrooms need a bit more upkeep during brunch though. We visited on September 1st.
A few of us indulged in bottomless mimosas. Others got different drinks off the menu. Service was a bit slow but the music got us by.
Not pictured but the salmon deviled eggs would win against the shrimp every time! We got multiple orders.
I got the surf & turf mac as well. The mac was the perfect amount of cheesy, if not more. And the lamb was cooked perfectly. We had a good time. There’s also a jukebox inside so your party can play some music.

I brought my bridesmaids here for brunch and it was such a perfect experience! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The service was truly amazing — attentive without being overwhelming and so helpful with everything we needed.
