There is ice cream is good. When I once got a milkshake I wasn’t feeling it and had no flavor to it. I like how they put up a new board with the prices and this thing to keep the sun from beaming on folks.

It’s a walk up outdoor order only so be sure to bundle up if it’s chilly and there’s a line.
I’ve had the Peanut Butter Ripple (don’t recommend it’s mostly vanilla with little peanut butter), Starwberry (so good! With real strawberries and not too sweet), and the Butter Pecan Low Fat (tastes like the standard. This one was actually the sweetest tasting of the three and my favorite).

This was my first time visiting this ice cream shop. This is a new location on Main St. for this store. The portions here a huge. A medium cone will satisfy two people. They have a nice variety of ice cream flavors and italian ices. You can order the usual treats, including sundaes, banana splits and milk shakes. They offer both cones or cups The staff is very friendly and service is quick. There a few tables inside to sit at and a couple of benches outside. A minor drawback is that not much parking is available.

You get a lot for a little here. Just a baby size ice cream would be a medium at other places. This place can be very busy at times but the staff does a decent job in keeping the line moving. One thing to know about this place CASH ONLY! And they are not kidding. There is a bank nearby with an ATM so stop there first. Also no public bathroom…just FYI.
There is a baby size and a “under the counter” size that is the smallest they have. I took a photo of the under the counter size. Regardless of size the ice cream here is amazing.

Update! Yes the Depot is a staple and tradition in Milltown. Yes Milltown Ice Cream Depot Moved but she’s still has the same ice cream just more flavors and going to be open year round. With limited indoor seating.
The Best not because my Mother in Law owns it either. It was a staple of my childhood growing up in Milltown. almost 25 plus years ago she took it over from the Property Owner the Mr Al Charles when his family (cousins) retired. My mother in law sells the same ice cream that Mr Charles started carrying when he opened the business. Granted the recipe for the ice Cream was sold but she buys from the original ice cream makers son who works for the company that bought his Dads homemade recipe and it maybe a brand name but they only make and sell this line to small shops like her. So traditions stay strong and safe. Long lines just like 40 years ago, people used to catch up and talk while waiting in line. Enjoy the town I grew up in and all Milltown had to offer.

haven’t been there in a long time because it usually close when I went just got two hot fudge sundaes and a couple other things spent $33 and then didn’t put hot fudge in either of the Sundays never go in there again

Great place to grab a generous scoop of ice cream or soft serve. The flavors are pretty standard as they don’t make the ice cream themselves but they offer a lot of flavors. The birthday cake was tasty option as it had the taste of yellow cake but had the classic circle sprinkles mixed it. The venue has plenty of parking but expect a 30 minute wait for your ice cream. The venue is also cash only.
