The tacos are birria crispy shell style. Tried the regular and cheese style tacos. The cheese ones were way too greasy and cheesy for me. But some may like it. The regular was perfect. Rice and beans were okay and pretty standard. Nothing unique.

For the price $40 for 6 tacos (2 ppl)… Hard to say it was a good value. Maybe good for a date or something. The atmosphere is nice. The outdoor seating was also very welcoming.

Decided to stop by Chucho’s during a road trip and it was a great choice to eat at. We ordered the Birria Plate, Birria Pizza, and 3 Red Tacos. All of them were really great and I recommend all of them!

I rated the atmosphere 4/5 (apologies if I’m a bit petty) because the music was pretty loud and sounded like we were at a dance club instead of a restaurant. Other than that, the service was friendly and respectful

I spend about 40 dollars (including tip) getting a takeout from this place. I got the Red taco plate(birria tacos) with consome and the beef Ramen. It was one of the MOST DISAPPOINTING order I have ever gotten. Even the most basic Consome tasted like an expired broth with SO MUCH SALT, it ruined the taco. Also, it was just a brown liquid with salt, no other seasoning. The same broth is used for the Ramen, which literally ruined it. It literally made me feel sick. How does it even have this much good review???? The only thing that was a little ok was the red tacos.. its still bad just compared to the rest, it ok (which is not saying much). I love spicy and savory foods so salt was never a problem….BUT THIS AMOUNT IS INSANE!! I throw my Ramen away, I couldn’t take it after two bites. Waste of money.

I had a great experience at Chucho’s Red Tacos. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The food was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care—every bite hit the spot. You can tell they take pride in both their service and their cooking. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for great tacos and a good vibe.

Ordered a burrito and quesitaco plate. The burrito was fine but the quesitaco plate was just a single taco – not even the right one. $18 for a single wrong taco? I have loved coming here for years and this is super disappointing! We waited 50 minutes for our order, fine. But for it to be so incorrect is crazy.

Chucho’s Red Tacos is an awesome spot if you’re looking for good food at a great price. The tacos are affordable and filling, which makes it easy to come back often without spending much. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the environment is really cool—laid back, lively, and full of good energy. It’s the kind of place you can hang out, enjoy the vibe, and still get solid food for cheap. Definitely one of the better taco spots in Milwaukee.

I stopped in around 5:30 and was one of only three people in the restaurant. From what I’ve read, this place used to be more of a hotspot, and you can still see the charm. It’s a cute place with a nice setup. The service was decent and the food was fine, though I’ll admit I’m not the most discerning food critic, so take that for what it’s worth. Overall, it just felt a little lifeless, like a spot that’s slowly fading. I hope it can bounce back because it seems like it was once something special.

Never again, false advertisement-the crispy tacos Asad and Birria Chicken-1st the taco shells were miniature and nothing like the photo in the menu, Beef quality missed the mark with more than enough grisle and was bland of flavor as well as the chicken birria. My sister had the mexican style street tacos and they were flavorless as well. The rice and beans were the only decent dishes
