Pictures include:
Pollo verde – a dish with grilled chicken, green mole sauce and polenta
Such a good green sauce! And the chicken fell right off the bone. Polenta was nice and crispy, soft on the inside!
3 chicken taco’s – soft tacos with chicken, pico di gallo and lime mayo.
Its nice if your not very hungry, bit messy to eat but great otherwise!! Very delicious.
Rib-eye steak – 200 grams of South-American beef, roasted potatoes and chimichurri. This one was medium, very nice taste, not dry, full of flavor.
And last but not least – the frozen mango margarita, very nice mix of mango puree and tequila. And lime Loved it very much not to sweet 10/10 cocktail
We started with tacos, tuna ceviche and a quesadilla.
Every dish is well presented, cooked and dressed with fresh products (we checked ) tasty and wonderful.
I really recommend the place and to focus on the tacos.
They are so tasty, we had to order some more.
My favourite : the octopus one
Thank you Fiona !
Cons: I found the food quite bland, the salsa and guac had little to no flavour, everything was so lightly salted. I ordered the ribeye as my main and all I could taste was oil, the potatoes were nice but the Chimichurri sauce did not help, it was literally just oil with some parsley in it. I also order the Mexican iced tea mocktail which was 1/4 drink and 3/4 ice, I’m not sure how a drink could be bland but there were no hints of tea, it just tastes like water with some simple syrup (and it was €9:.50). My friend had the same opinion about the food, it didn’t taste terrible, just really average and lacked flavour. The worst part was the stomach pain I got after, I’m not sure if it’s just my stomach but is it just a coincidence if one of the other friends was throwing up and having diarrhoea in the middle of the night?
Overall: I would recommend this place for drinks, it had an amazing vibe and atmosphere, friendly staff, the restaurant was really clean, I wouldn’t go here if you’re looking for a culinary experience.
Little pricy, but defo worth it! Cocktails were very nice, we got recommended one so can’t remember what it’s called. We got the quesadilla, beef tacos, pork tacos and fish taco
Even though the restaurant was busy the service was fast, and the staff very attentative and friednly. The chicken taco lacked flavour however the pork taco was amazing. The churros are also a must
Would definitely come back here and recommend.
– Great staff. They serve you the menu with a smile.
– Amazing food.
– Quick service
– Reasonably priced for a classy diner.
– Great ambience
Cons
– They need to expand their menus to include more options. I am sure they will excel in all they make.
In addition, the visit felt very rushed. Everything had to move quickly, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. The seating area was also extremely cramped, with very little space between tables, making it uncomfortable and quite noisy.
Overall, Fiona serves good food, but the tight seating, rushed atmosphere, and high prices significantly reduced the enjoyment. I would only recommend it if you do not mind a fast-paced and crowded dining environment.
We enjoyed all the dishes. Yes, we considered some of the portions small, but we roamed around Amsterdam afterwards all day and we didn’t get hungry!!! So it was actually a really good, balanced and protein-filled lunch!!
