We had a very large pulled pork sandwich and the loaded baked potato. The pulled pork was tender with a sweet, slightly smoky bbq sauce. The potato was loaded with butter, cheese , onions and sour cream. We shared both with some left over. Service was fast and polite.

Back Porch BBQ was a fantastic stop in La Grange, especially on the way to Houston. It’s not easy to find a really good, lean brisket, but this one was excellent—tender, flavorful, and smoked to perfection without being dry. The quality of the meat and the care in preparation really stood out. A great BBQ spot and well worth the stop if you’re passing through.

Was in town visiting for a few days, and found this little place. I’m usually not a fan of BBQ any place other than home, but figured I would give it a try. The Brisket was nice and a juicy, the pulled pork was good, the service was great. Nice little place to go have BBQ, would definitely eat here again if I was ever in La Grange Texas again.

Really great attentive service, banana pudding was the absolute best! Smoked chicken tacos were perfect, spice on jalapeño cheddar sausage was great. Wish we could have had porch potatoes, they were sold out by 1pm on a Saturday.

From Seattle. Been tasting brisket in cities around Kyle, TX. Ended up in La Grange at the Texas Quilt Museum. Stopped in at Back Porch BBQ about 1:00 pm. Ordered the bake potato fully loaded with brisket. Poured sauce all over it. Pretty damn good.

Nice comfy atmosphere. Got 1/2 lb brisket plate side of fried okra and potato salad. Nice got combo love the fried okra and yellow potato salad tangy. Ahh cold sweet tea and wow lean brisket cut was so tender and juicy. I was hungry and this plate was excellent. Hit just the right spot. I sure will drop back by again.

Been there many times. Service is friendly , courteous, attentive and quick. Appetizer s are all good…especially the fried onion strips. Barbecue(brisket, ribs, chicken) all great. Was out of chicken this time. Ordered a hamburger…boy, what a mistake..flavorless, small, definitely a disappointment and will never order again. Plan to go back…but now know what MOT to order.

My husband and I were passing through on the way to Alice Texas, when we spied what looked like a great spot to stop for lunch… When there are a lot of police cars at a BBQ restaurant, either there is something going on or the food is really great. In this case it’s the food… Really good menu, easy to order… Service was great and the place was packed. My husband and I both had barbecue sandwiches, I had the brisket, loaded with so many succulent slices of brisket that I had to eat some with a knife and fork before I could get the sandwich to work! My husband had a mixed BBQ sandwich, which came on a locally baked sourdough bun… He is gluten sensitive, but can have sourdough, so this was really nice. Service was good, prompt even though the place was packed. There is a bar, bar tables and regular tables as well, with sports channels going on several TV screens around the rooms. This is not a quiet place, but very enjoyable and seem to be full of locals.
