I would say this is probably one of my favorite restaurants I have been to since arriving in Oaxaca. The food was delicious, mezcal tasted great, and the atmosphere and service was top notch. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again next time I’m back in Oaxaca.

Tlayuda is a pile of cheese and the thinnest tortilla, with a slight hint of beans. It is up there with one of the most atrocious things I’ve ever been served at a restaurant. And to top it off, it’s a house special.
The coffee was lukewarm and tasted watered down.
The only saving grace this place has is the guac and friendly service.

Comida muy buena!!! We ate dinner at Doña Chica on a Sunday evening, so it was very quiet in Mitla. They provided great service with fresh, fantastic food. We got guacamole, rolled tacos, tamales, and pollo con mole negro. All was fantastic, but the chicken was outstanding. Great drinks as well. Very reasonable prices for such great food.

One of the best meals we had in Mexico, felt truly home cooked! We went here with a group and it was truly great. Would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area, especially the mixed bowl.
