Theme place. Fun and family friendly.
Drink was strong. The soup was almost the best part. I had the ribeye. Cooked perfectly.
Set up family style, you can probably order separate meals but the courses are standard.
Service was wonderful.
Many people with birthdays, so expect singing.
I tried the fried artichokes. It was a sharable appetizer.
The salad and dessert were present.
Not horrible, but not amazing.
I went home with enough food for several lunches.

Wow! This place was an amazing experience. Travis was our host, server and bartender. He was super nice and friendly. All entrees come with cowboy soup, black beans and salsa to start, salad, garlic toast, rice and fried sliced potatoes, also includes a dessert of either root beer float, ice cream sundae or amaretto coffee liqueur drink. The food is delicious, pork chop was best I ever had, juicy, tender and had a great char grill. My husband’s full rack of beef ribs were well seasoned and flavorful. The place is very cool, like a cowboy amusement park with all the animals and cowboy items. Warning, do not eat all day when coming here. It’s seriously a lot of food!

For $23.50, you can get a gigantic cheeseburger, really big amount of awesome fries…a big side salad…beans, salsa and vegetable beef stew…and then a root beer float for dessert. It’s ALL good…but the burger may be the best I’ve ever had in my life. Expertly seasoned with an incredible bun…we’re actually going back in a few more days for it again. This is probably the most smokin deal for a dinner ever…highly highly recommend. Sit in the lounge for an awesome experience. You’re welcome…it’s insane to go anywhere else.

It’s a niche experience. A lot of taxidermied animals, the cowboy stew was really good, but the meats were ok. Steaks were tough and the ribs were ok. They didn’t seem to have enough flavor. It’s nice to have the dessert at the end, but the entrees left something to be desired.

I came here on a recommendation and this place did not disappoint! The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare — absolutely spot on. The salads are generous and fresh, and the soup was rich and delicious. Devin was absolutely phenomenal — professional, attentive, and truly customer service oriented. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one spot you don’t want to miss!

This place scores a perfect score. The atmosphere in this place is so cool with the many stuffed animals all over the restaurant. The food was so good! The chili/soup they serve when you sit down was so delicious! We had steak and it was cooked perfectly med-rare just how I like it. The staff was very friendly and fast service. Only thing I am sad about is they don’t have an A.J. Spurs near where I live.

Wow, huge portions of the best quality food ever. We had the beef and pork ribs, liver that came with beef stew, salad, garlic bread, tequila beans and rice pilaf. Also included was an amaretto dessert. Jay, the manager gave us the rundown and was so informative and Brianna gave us top notch service. Christine being there was a pleasant surprise. A+++ and highly recommended!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was great. our steaks were cooking exactly the way we wanted them and tasted great! I will say that the ribs were a little overcooked for my taste, but they were delicious and definitely enjoyable. (I’m just picky about my beef ribs, LOL) The Motif is wonderful, lots of taxidermy animals and all kinds of Old West Treasures we will definitely be returning..
I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area! If you have kids, they would love it!

I stopped by one evening with my sons & we had the best experience. The food was all to die for, so delicious and fresh. Our server, I wish I remembered his name, he is a local for many years, gave us the best service! Can not wait to go back !

I’ve been coming to AJ Spurs for decades at their locations, I’ve always loved the decor, the western, museum-like feel, all the history of the west showcased in taxidermied animals and old pictures, paintings and such, it’s really cool to take a walk through the place. The food though, wow, they start you off with an incredible hearty soup, bread, beans, and salsa, it all just comes to you as you sit down, it’s a meal in itself. The rest of the menu goes a bit downhill from there, the steaks are pretty bland, under or overcooked, and the texture just isn’t there. The rice, simply not good, the potatoes, some are good, some are undercooked, it’s really spotty. Travis the waiter is awesome, the drinks were great, even the included dessert which they give you three options, root beer float, ice cream sundae, or after-dinner liqueur called a Tan Ferrari, are all solid and a nice surprise. Unfortunately, many of the AJ Spurs have gone out of business, and I fear this one will too, it needs to take a few pointers from Texas Roadhouse on how to cook steak properly and present them properly as they are in that type of restaurant space. If they can raise the bar on their food and change up the decor a bit, this place could thrive again, will they though? Regardless, I love the place, just wish they’d get with the times and step up their game.
