The owner was nice and server too ! However please note that the steak tips are actually roast beef & my husband was disappointed. The hamburger steak that I ate was extremely dry and the country fried steak that my MIL ordered was flat, thin and tasted precooked / frozen quality. We love supporting small businesses and appreciate unique diners. Hopefully this one can pick up on true southern American cuisine.

I stopped in late one evening after not eating all day and I was extremely hungry. What I walked into was a surprise in the best way. There was beautiful live folk music with a group of people sitting around playing instruments and it created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The owner made me biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and cheddar and it was some of the best I have had in a very long time. As someone born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, I know good country cooking, and this absolutely delivered.
What made it even better was the owner sitting down to chat with me about music and life. She was genuinely kind and welcoming. This place has great food and great people. I will definitely be back

While exploring Plant City, I initially intended to dine at a different location, only to find it unexpectedly closed. In search of an alternative, I stumbled upon Snellgroves, and I’m delighted I did. This charming little diner exceeded my expectations with its surprisingly delightful dishes at very reasonable prices. The service was impressively quick, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning to Snellgroves and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty meal!

Food was good. Service was fast and friendly. The server (Lady with tattoos and Snoopy shirt) is certainly an asset to this restaurant. She was upbeat and personable. Attentive without hovering and knew what I needed before I asked. She greeted everyone as they came in and wished them well as they left. It was refreshing to be around someone who was working and not complaining or acting as if they hated their job and hated me for making them work. The food was very good. I had the BLT and fries, today’s dining companion had a veggie omelette, grits and English muffin. Everything was cooked as ordered and tasty.

Didn’t like it at all inside decor needs updating the walls needed wiped down and the items on selves need dusting. I ordered a blt and the bacon was so greasy and my sandwich had no flavor and all. My friend food had mashed potatoes and Gravy that tasted like out of a box mix. We didn’t care for this place at all.

Since I work out of Plant City and most often downtown I find myself at Snellgrove’s often. Super friendly staff, great food, and great mimosas! Good price too. If you like family owned restaurants this is one to try!

Beautiful, historic downtown Plant City location! Stopped in for a quick lunch with my Dad… We both ordered the BLT Special with Fries. Our sandwiches were perfect, and their Fries were sooo yummy too!! Home Cooking, absolutely. Very reasonably priced, as our tab with 2 drinks was just over $20. Will definitely be back!

As getting there the the entire restaurant was empty we had already set ourselves down only to be told we had to move to the other side of the restaurant. As we were served our food we open the blinds better so we can see our food and shut the blinds and said due to heat they have to keep the blinds closed.$50 for two people I didn’t even eat my loaded tater tot casserole because it was swapped together with pasteurized cheese on it instead of shredded like I usually get. In saying will not get our business no more.
