We have been to this location a few times and the food is pretty good. It’s never really busy (which is slightly concerning but also nice because no wait). Service is hit or miss, never bad but never great. Unfortunately they advertised they would be open on New Year’s Day and we made a trip to The Colony, even with signage stating they would be open… they were closed. Another few vehicles came up as well and were also surprised it was closed. Very disappointing, there are several great crab spots like Shell Shack in Plano or Aw Shucks in Dallas. I recommend them for a more consistent experience.

Service was great and accommodating. Food was delicious. Crab boils, lobster salad, dirty rice, alligator bites & lobster rolls were a hit at our table. The space isn’t very big however they were able to get our party seated immediately to enjoy all they had to offer.

We checked this location out today, we’ve been to the one in Carrollton, this one was closer. We created our own boils, snow crab, crawfish, sausage, eggs, and corn with Garlic sauce. First of all, one of the servers was nice, the food…I was not happy with. The boil came out warm, never have I ever had a warm seafood boil. By the time I finished my first crab cluster, the other was dang near ice cold. The corn tasted a little fishy, eggs were overcooked and small, the sauce was ok but too thick for my liking. The CUP I had soda in HAD A LIPSTICK MARK! I didn’t notice it until AFTER I had drunk out of it. I will never go back to this location, I’ll stay at the Carrollton location. We spent $130 for all of the cold food and dirty cups.

Hi, I just wanted to share some feedback. I came to The Crab Station in The Colony around 9:00 (tonight I arrived at 9:15), the host said sorry we are close . I usually get off work around that time so and I even tried calling beforehand to place a quick to-go order, but no one answered. I been told before months ago yall closed early as well just thought it was just then but however I notice they say this a few times
Both the door sign and your website say you close at 10:00, so I’m just wondering — has your closing time changed? Or is there a reason you’re closing earlier on weekends?
Thanks for your time, I really enjoy your food and just wanted to check what’s going on!

We ordered the Arctic with 1.25lb Snow Crab, 1lb shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. It was the perfect amount for 2 people. We also ordered the Killer Calamari and it was okay. The breading was a little soggy and the sauce it came with had a pineapple flavor, which was very tasty. The original sauce for the boiled meal was pretty garlicky with a little spice; it was delicious.
The place was empty around 2pm on a Monday so the service was decent.
The restrooms were terrible! The toilet stall walls were filthy and rusty. There was no soap in the women’s restroom, so I used the common sink, which also had no soap in the wall dispenser. There was a pump bottle with very little soap inside. My concern is how do the workers wash their hands

1st time trying cooked oysters, they came highly recommended, and they taste great. The staff was professional and knowledgeable and gave good suggestions. The location is great. It is small on the inside and can get loud. The boil was garlic heavy, but the shrimp and crab legs were fresh and sizeable.

This was our first time here for date night and this is by far the best boil we’ve had! Very fresh and didn’t taste fishy. My boyfriend got the oysters and he loved them as well. The drinks could be stronger, but our server was very attentive and friendly. She kept checking on us and refilling our drinks before we had to ask. We will definitely be back again!

Went in on a Saturday about 7:30ish. We were seated as soon as we walked in. We ordered the boudin balls, this was the only thing I liked. I got the mix any 2 I chose catfish and shrimp, my shrimp was way over done, could hardly bite through it, and the catfish tasted horrible took one bite and was done. This also came with seasoned fries and 2 hush puppies. The seasoning on the fries tasted ok, but the texture was horrible literally like seasoned powder. My bf ordered The Caribbean but was brought The Coral, I’m not sure what the price difference is, because there is ZERO pricing on the seafood, except the oysters. He loved his food. They brought my food out separately from his by about 5 mins.
This place is small, not much move around room for anyone much less the servers.
They sat a large group beside us even though they didn’t have enough room for the whole party, which lead to a guy walking back and forth just looking at us. The staff didn’t seem to care until someone from their party started complaining about not having enough room to set.
We spent $139.
Which isn’t horrible for “good” food, but when you stand up and your shoes stick to the floor, makes you wonder how clean the overall place is.
Will NOT be back, and really wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I were staying at the hotel across the way and stopped in for a low-key visit. We sat at the bar, ordered a beer, and split a crab claw appetizer. The claws tasted old and stringy, like they’d been sitting around far longer than they should have, and they were dried out enough that neither of us finished them.
When we asked for the check, a 20% gratuity had already been added. We were told this tip was mandatory, even though it was just the two of us sitting at the bar. I crossed out the 20% and wrote in a $4.00 tip instead. Later, when my credit card alert came through, I saw that the $4.00 had been added on top of the original 20% that was already pre-charged.
I tried to follow up afterward and ran into a wall. Their website has been offline for months and currently goes nowhere. There’s no corporate contact information listed anywhere that I could find. When I spoke with staff at the location, they said they couldn’t help and that everything was “corporate policy,” full stop.
At the end of the day, this feels like a setup aimed at capturing hotel foot traffic rather than earning repeat customers. The food we had was old, the service was weak, and the billing practices left a bad taste that lasted longer than the crab did.
