Pacific Catch in San Mateo is a fantastic spot for a relaxed and satisfying lunch. I ordered the Mixed Catch, Wagyu Cheeseburger, and the small West Coast Salmon Bowl. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. The seafood was grilled just right, the burger was juicy and rich, and the salmon bowl was light but filling. What made the experience even better was the excellent service—staff were polite, cheerful, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere is clean and casual, making it a great place to grab a quality meal without the fuss. Highly recommend this location!

Great food for health and taste. I’m glad this place managed to find a balance in between! This is my go to spot for a quick lunch/dinner on the go. They have a wide variety of menu options and substitutions, which I appreciate since most restaurants don’t offer substitutions. Parking is a little difficult on the weekends. You can either park by the Movie Theaters or at the San Mateo parking garage on the other side. A great place for groups and they have a good size dining area outside.

Nice restaurant and atmosphere. Much bigger than appears from the front. Server (whom was also attending bar) was super nice and pleasant. Very friendly and took care of us! Food was decently priced and served ridiculously fast! Everything was warm and correct as ordered. Everyone enjoyed their food (fish, fish tacos and fish sandwich). No complaints at all. Would recommend and would certainly go here again when in the area

The place was not crowded, but it took a long time to order. When we got the table, a waiter immediately came to take our orders, but we haven’t decided as it was our first time and we wasn’t sure what’s on the menu. The waiter said he would come back five minutes later, yet when we decided and waited for 5 minutes, nobody came. We tried to call for any available waiters/waitresses, but nobody came, even if I was sure some looked our way. It was until the first waiter came to our table that we could order.
The attentiveness of the staff displeased us further when they took so long to get what we wanted. We asked at the start for water and utensils for kids. However, they didn’t arrive even when all the dishes were served. My husband had to give up his plate for our baby and fed our son himself as the adult utensils are not safe for kids. We kept asking for 3 more times to finally have what we wanted.
The food is okay. We like the ramen, but fish & chips is not good.

Thick fish thin batter. Coconut shrimp also great. The calamari was small and tender, unlike most which are rubbery. Had salad rather than fries and it comes with cold slaw and three dips.
