The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the ambience was fine dining. The Chicken Handi was succulent and hot. The butter Naan was so soft and yum! The Kebab platter was good, just add one more kebab and one more lamb chop and increase the price to match that. The Pilau rice was good. One thing is, that if there’s food on the table, and people are taking a break before finishing the food as they want to pace the meal, please don’t pester asking if they are done, not once but several times. It wasn’t even that we were over time or there were people waiting. Let customers enjoy their meal in peace.

Lovely! Had a midweek meal here recently and the staff were great! Courses were served in good time given there was 10 in our party. Onion bhaji starters are super filling and lamb shashlik was perfect. They have a nice bar area upstairs too for pre dinner drinks. Highly recommend! Thursday special menu is such great value.

Lovely meal with a large group of colleagues. Well organised so food arrived at once despite the group size with mistakes. Servers were very polite and friendly. Food was delicious and portions were appropriate. Will definitely go back again soon.

Fantastic food and service. My wife is coeliac and has to have a GF diet. The staff were brilliant and advised she could have everything except the naan breads and bhajis.
The food was served in a timely manner and was presented very nicely. The dishes we chose were all delicious. The portion sizes are generous and we couldn’t finish the whole meal. The wine we had was vey good and reasonably priced. This is the best Indian restaurant we have been to and we will certainly be back when we visit Whitley Bay again.

As soon as you walk in there is a lovely atmosphere, the resteraunt itself has a lovely feel to it and the lovely smells instantly hit you. The tables aren’t too close together so you don’t feel packed in. The staff are great, really attentive and friendly. The food is brilliant, presented beautifully and so tasty. I can’t find a fault with the place, cocktails on offer as well 4 for 25 quid and they were lovely. Would definitely recommend. The prices are pretty standard, not too steep, the two of us had cocktails starters and mains and it came in at around £80. We will be going back.

Accidentally booked table for the wrong evening and the staff still went out of their way to accommodate us on a busy evening despite my mistake. Great food and better service, you will struggle to find better in the North East.

Food is fantastic, best Indians in the area.
Service is feels chaotic, it’s hit and miss with staff. We met our friends there and we we were asked to wait until our table was set up (we were 5 minutes before booked table time which is fine), then after 5 minutes we were asked to wait up stairs as our friends were there. As soon as we sat down we were told our table was ready, but for us to order food and drinks there first. Then we were taken downstairs but there was a wait as there are three doors opened at once.
Atmosphere is lovely, beautiful restaurant.
It would have been better if we had just dined upstairs rather than being led around, it was busy but I felt this added to the overall ruffle. I’ll come back, just not at peak time.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants we have dined in in the UK.
We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. The team of staff were exemplary – well dressed, professional, courteous and friendly.
Inside it’s a nice modern design with varying dining areas.
We opted for the banquet meal and I have to say each course was pretty much perfect.
The timing of courses was flawless – quick to clear the table and next course served straight away, this was very impressive. I was just gutted we didn’t manage to finish it all.
It can be a bit tricky parking if you’re driving here but I just parked down a side road which was only a couple of minutes walk away – the sea front is only 5 minutes stroll away.
The Malabar IPA on draught was one of the nicest IPA’s I’ve had , I’m going to have to see if I can get it in the shops.
Looking forward to our next visit!
Update 13/7/23 – again, as previous, food, venue and staff all excellent!

We went for the Sunday special. Food was excellent, staff we’re all lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. The manager does his share of the work and doesn’t just stand while his staff do it all. Thats a big positive for me. Its not the first time I’ve been and I’ve enjoyed it every time. Its well worth a visit.

Nice tandoori chicken and flexible on portions as we do not like breast meat so they did us two leg and thigh. Large prawn biryani was lacking salt and I think stick to chicken or lamb. Nice stuffed paratha. Enjoyed
