Himalayan Yak in Jackson Heights was an incredible experience. The live show was the highlight, and the fact that they’re open late is a huge plus. Everything we ate was delicious — the chicken chow mein was my favorite, and the pani puri, chicken lollipop, chicken sekuwa, and drinks were all excellent.
The service was impeccable, making it a truly exceptional dining experience. The owners were incredibly kind and friendly, which made the night even more special. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone — I will definitely be returning!

From you enter the door you are greeted by friendly staff. Luckily for me, my party was here and easy to spot. A were a large group celebrating our friends birthday. The place isn’t huge but it is a good size and was able to accommodate us.

There were many appetizers on the table that were very delish. A hit for me were the seasoned potatoes, Aloo Dum (dry). I ordered the Shogo Ngopa and decided to go with tingmo instead of the white rice. Trying something new! Also ordered a mango lassie.

Food came out fresh, warm and delicious. The tingmo reminded me to a steamed bun with out the filling but with layers. Everything was good. Everyone was friendly and kept our water glasses filled.

At 9pm there was live music which was a nice treat. They even sang happy birthday to our friend. Nice place and will definitely try again!

A friend and I went there for drinks and dinner very early in the evening. We had ordered some appetizers and had about five drinks each. We were enjoying the atmosphere and drinking drinks. And our plan was to have a few more drinks and then have a Nepali Thali set meal at the end. And it felt like a dream to us when some of the staff suddenly came and said, “You should leave this table and sit at the bar, our other guests have arrived.”Because at the time we entered the restaurant, there were only two tables with their guests. But I convinced my friend to go to the bar and have a few drinks, but my friend didn’t agree. And I asked my friend why, but he said that the treat he received was disgusting. And overall, the two of us had a good meal there. And when I tried to give a 20% tip even though I didn’t get my wish to have drinks and dinner there, my friend refused. Because that’s very trash behavior, There we paid the bill and went to another Nepali restaurant for a few drinks, and dinner was also very delightful. When some people asked me about the Himalayan yak, I used to highly recommend it, but I don’t say it’s good anymore. I didn’t get drunk even though I had five drinks, but this service and this behavior really put me off.

A beloved Nepali staple in the Jackson Heights neighborhood known for their live music and delicious food. This place is a must-try if you’re in Queens! We came early so there was ample space and no wait. Highly recommend the momo, chili fish/chicken, chow main and with fluffy egg, and sizzling platters that come with savory gravy noodles. Best to come with lots of people to try more family style!

Delicious! Came here for lunch with my husband – it is one of the best meals we’ve had in Jackson heights if not NY. He had the thali and they brought refills on all the items he liked best. I had chicken momos and they were so flavorful and filling. The atmosphere is also beautiful and had great vibes, with Nepalese music playing and a very pleasant incense burning. 10/10 will come again!

The food was really good and very filling, I had a really good time with my friends. We were here on a Monday night. The restaurant was not very crowded and we got to enjoy a nice dinner. The stew and the chicken buns with peanut sauce were my favorite. They also have nice appetizers and drinks. I liked the mango lassi I ordered. They are also conveniently located near the subway, so it’s a good spot for friends gathering.
