We are in the area for a Vet visit and came here for the first time to enjoy a good breakfast. Descent Coffee, serving portion is good that will sure make you full and even some left to take home. Price matches the quality of the food and service. It was an enjoyable experience for us, first dine in breakfast of the year done right. I can see us coming back here again to try other stuff on the menu.

Staff is bilingual and no wait for seating. Whole location is pretty outdated. Bathrooms were clean but had a strong sewer smell.
Parking was free and easy to get into.
Food came out in a timely manner. Staff is very nice.
My steak tasted like it was cooked in the microwave, no char, no grill lines, no sear. Hasbrowns had no flavor, very oily.
Priced reasonably
Kids loved their meals. Adults didnt like, but it was edible. I wouldn’t come back.

When you go you have to ask for Jennifer she is the best server I think I have ever had. She knew what I wanted before I did. My eggs come out perfectly every time when she orders them for me, soft but not runny! Food is always above par and atmosphere is exactly what I need on a Saturday morning. Very family oriented but don’t feel bad if you come alone you will be treated as if there are 10 people at the table. Breakfast here has become a staple and I will forever ask for Jen as my server

I love it everytime I come here. I first came here in the summer of 2020 with my cousin from out of state and her kids, the staff made us feel welcome and were really funny and super attentive. I came again early 2021 with my mom, sister, and grandma and had another 5 star experience. Staff was amazing as always. And then earlier this month I came again to get some of my art orders done (digital drawing) and I just needed an outside space to concentrate (also didn’t want to cook and was hungry), and I got the try their house blend and it’s GOOD. LIKE REALLY GOOD. They were really nice and let me get a lot of work done. I actually ended up staying until closing, time flew by, and they were super nice about it and didn’t rush me at all. They made sure I always had coffee and that the food was to my satisfactory. I love this restaurant and I always recommend it. Definitely my favorite local spot. I just wish they were open at night too.

The Big Apple has never failed me! I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager, and it’s always been a reliable, welcoming spot.

I recently met up with an old co-worker for breakfast around 10 a.m., and the timing couldn’t have been better. We were seated immediately, and it was the perfect coffee and tea kind of morning.

We both enjoyed delicious omelettes while catching up over a few hours. I had the veggie omelette with American cheese, wheat toast with strawberry jelly, and well-done hash browns. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just the way I like it. I love their generous portions—very satisfying!

Value for the dollar? 10/10 every time.
And just in case you’re wondering, all that pepper was my personal touch!

If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should. The Big Apple remains a favorite of mine, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too!

I ordered a turkey sausage omelette the omelette had two different meats in it? One unknown meat, order was remade in a quick fashion apparently they just threw another omlette together it disgusting taste, wise and visual. I will upload a picture. I will never be going back there again
I ask for manager 2nd time i was told she was too busy to see me i wouldnt advise any one to order turkey omelette

Visited December 31st 9:30am.
WOW. Great breakfast place. A true gem.
Our hostess / waitress was very nice and attentive. She came every 5 minutes asking if we were ok and with the coffee. The food was great, big servings so come hungry. The French toast was nice and fluffy.

One downside, the cashier guy at the front of the house. When we first walked in there was no line just a guy in front of us. That’s why I took away a star. The cashier and guy were having a conversation that has nothing to do with the restaurant or getting a seat so we waited until they finished their conversation. That was inconvenient.

We went in for a quick bite on a rare Monday off and was very disappointed. We were seated and never acknowledged by the wait staff. We waited over 10 minutes. A larger family came in and were immediately greeted, given water and a waitress came over to take their orders. We asked if anyone was working the area and no one ever came to our table. We proceeded to leave, let the staff at the front know and went to Maria’s Pancake House in Hazel Crest where service is always great!! We will not patronizing this establishment any longer.
