Just swung by for some takeaway fish and chips after doing an airport drop off.
Staff were super lovely, a good selection of fresh tassie fish on offer, i went for the pink ling.
Slightly pricey however portion size was huge, chips hot and fresh, and a very good size piece of fish.
Overall a solid 9.5/10. Only downside was that the fish (albeit crispy and hot) was slightly greasy, an extra 20 seconds of draining the oil and this would have by far been the best fish and chips in Australia.
100% would still reccomend and i will be back!

We came here after hearing a few good stories and reviews. Unfortunately we must have got the raw end of the stick. The worst meal we had in a week in Tassie.
Meal was a great size for the family portion unfortunately it was extremely greasy and unpleasant to eat.
Chips were just the run of the mill frozen chips. Fish was plentiful but just too oily to enjoy. Even Mr 4 who eats anything wouldn’t eat.
Feeling let down after hearing so many good reviews. We had fish and chips at Fish Frenzy in the harbour and it was far superior to this.
All up $60 odd bucks for the family feast but we did not enjoy it.

I recently dined at your seafood restaurant and ordered the grilled lobster, but was utterly disgusted to find a strand of hair embedded in the food. This is a serious hygiene issue that completely ruined my dining experience.
Hair in food is not only unpleasant but also raises major concerns about the cleanliness of your kitchen and food handling practices. I expect a much higher standard of hygiene from any restaurant, especially one serving seafood.
I hope you take this matter seriously and improve your sanitation protocols. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone and will be cautious about returning.

An excellent fish and chip shop that doubles as a seafood shop! We had half a lobster and a pink Ling fish and chips. Both were great the food came very quickly and we enjoyed them. Also, the service was very friendly!

Fresh fish and lobsters from Tasmania Gourmet Seafoods are honestly incredible. The quality is always spot on, and the staff are so friendly every time I visit. They’re also taking Christmas orders, which is a great bonus. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic and will go again! We both had the 5 course dinner for $60pp and it exceeded expectations. Scallops were the hero, unfortunately we ate them too quickly before getting a photo. Highly recommend!
