This used to be a terrific place and so convenient as it’s the closest restaurant to us. BUT… I’ve been disappointed with them the last couple times we visited over the past year and today wasn’t any better. I ordered the Albondigas Soup and while menu described it as a special vegetable soup with meatballs, there was no vegetables other than a bit of cilantro and a few bits of red bell pepper? Plenty of meatballs in a bowl of weak broth and a sprinkling of rice. I added the salsa that was on the tables for the chips to give the soup some flavor! When I asked our waiter, Jorge, about the lack of vegetables he told me it didn’t come with vegetables. (Not what the menu described Jorge!) I asked for corn tortillas and received flour tortillas. When I reminded him I had asked for corn tortillas he did bring it right out. I didn’t realize I would have to pay additional for corn tortillas though. So sorry Casa Del Rio, you used to be our go to place for Mexican food but not anymore.

This is a great place to stop for some delicious food.. the beef taco had more meat than any place I have ever been.. The enchilada sauce was really delicious and the beans had a lot of flavor. My server Catherine was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The chips and salsa were great too. If you haven’t been here you are missing out..

It’s the best little hole in the wall place ever! I am 40 now and I have been coming here since I was a kid, and this is by far the best Mexican food I have ever had. There is no other place that comes close! It’s a comfort food thing for me, and I am so glad this place is still in business. I don’t ever recommend any other Mexican restaurant, it’s always Casa Del Rio.

Kevin and all his staff, Amanda, Billy, George, Tyler, David, Iliana are amazing!! I would put Kevin up against any Speakeasy Craft Cocktail Bartender. His knowledge is deep, and he serves only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. I love the food as well, our friends have come here since they were kids! I highly recommend him and his establishment.

Food is delicious, however we felt a bit less welcome by the cashier then the possible regular customer that checked out before us, she was very friendly with him but seemed slightly annoyed by us. Maybe she was having a bad night I don’t know what she was going thru but it was noticeable. Which cut the service and atmosphere but the food was really good.

I have been eating at this restaurant for 24 years and it has never failed me! They have great Mexican food that is reasonably priced, and the wait staff is incredibly kind and patient. One of the other great qualities I have noticed is that the restaurant has had the same owners since I started eating here and has also had some of the same employees so I know that they treat the employees well which is always nice to see. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it definitely deserves a stop if you like Mexican food!

Very disappointed with this restaurant now! We have been coming here for years and the quality of the food has gone down and prices have gone up. The taco salad was plain and tasteless, they removed almost all the ingredients that make a good taco salad they used to make. My plain chimichanga with no sides was 14.49 and it has shrunk in size! I questioned the waiter about the high price and he couldn’t have cared less. Complete waste of money!

I hadn’t been here in a couple of years while traveling. But since I was back I thought I’d try it. What a pleasant surprise. After a very disappointing portions and food at Chipotle, I discovered for the same price of just a burrito you can get a huge meal plus beans and rice and chips here. The chimichanga was very large and their salsa was amazing. I’ll be going back here from now on and skipping the fast food Mexican places….
